Great talk Ivan, I greatly appreciate you're sharing your knowledge with the community. It is of great importance people understand the possible negative consequences of poorly audited smart contracts. And not blame or mistrust the blockchain technology for it. Good you also pointed out we are still in it's realtively early days. ps. Unbank the banked!

Hey great talk man. I continue to learn so much from you. You've really been helpful in me figuring out how to become a blockchain consultant. 1 point I have been wondering about when it comes to doing a proof on ownership for documents or intellectual property like music on the blockchain. Isn't there the issue of who uploads it first?
@IvanOnTech

yes you need to upload it first :) but now you can do it independetly from any 3rd party

Ivan on Tech thst part in get about not needing the 3rd party. But I'm talking about if 3people are talking about having an businessdea. But it was person A who came up with the idea\plan and told the other 2 about it to help start the business. Now let say person C hopes and registers the business in the traditional way as theirs. Person B goes and registers it through the blockchain before person C. Who has ownership/proof its there's? Where does it leave person A who only wrote down the original idea on paper?

are these actually problems with just the etherium development or is bitcoin more secure? I get that all the topic is about blockchain projects in general, just wondering
Ivan, I have been watching your videos since this Spring, and it feels like a generation of changes in this space since then. I am so impressed with how quickly your knowledge base has built up and how much I have grown to rely on your technical expertise. Keep it up and keep it real.
Chingon hermano!! Excelente y profundo. Saludos from Mexico, Do you have any thoughts on how the economy will evolve into or blend into the cryptoeconomy or Viceversa?
I saw something on twitter, it is called Starter and it has so many upcoming projects. Since the market is doing well it looks promising as well.

I am a firm believer that all funds held by founders, teams etc. should be locked in a wallet and when benchmarks are reached a percentage is released to the teams wallet. This can be required for all whitepapers to include. This will limited losses and incentive for completion of project. If abandoned the remaining funds are returned to the wallets of the investors. The specifics are different to each offering. The bulk of the holding should be rewarded upon completion. Your thoughts? Something must be done in reducing fraud. I like the off-chain transaction exploration more than the increase in block size.
@raptorcybersecurity

Karl, I agree with you. Another thing that would help is if there were a requirement to define the value proposition early in the white paper that is short and clear. Obviously, this will never happen, but if I were to do an ICO, I would make the value obvious and clear to the funders. It almost seems that obfuscation and cloaking the idea is the point, but it just makes the project seem lame. Anytime there is an unfettered access to large sums of money by founders, it leads to strangeness, such as fighting over the money and doing the job they promoted.

Thoughts on mandatory 30 day, 10k hackathon to be carried out upon stated completion? Put THEIR money up! Conduct it on a test net.?
If bitcoin changes to proof of stake would all the current miners go out of business if they dont have required stake to lock up in the blockchain?

Ivan, dude you made it seem that Parity wallets were like all other types of wallets on the Ethereum network... they were multi-sigs, not quite the same thing.

True, however when looking at the bigger picture the specific application doesn't matter, this could've happened in any smart contract which references a library which is deployed in this vulnerable way

Great speech Ivan. My question about POS is where does the raw processing power required to run etheruem virtual machines, verifying transactions ,process smart contracts, and other resource intensive functions , come from once Eth switches to PoS ? As the high processing power of current miners becomes unused as people just stake their coins and validate instead. But the processing power for the eth blockchain has to come from somewhere right ?
So much have happened within this time And I'm really appreciate what I see here all the time .Thanks to the wonderful dev l really love❤️ this Crypto Project

You're right. It has a built-in limiter. Could the limited be broken? Could a funnel be set up that could draw ether in and sink the currency? Thinking like a black hole...
Hi Ivan, I have a question I hope could revolutionise crypto currency and social welfare! Would it be possible to make crypto-mining difficulty easier and then only allow schools colleges (for instance) to do the highly profitable mining. This could cut the terrible waste of energy currently occurring while bringing wealth to those that need it rather than wealthy private mining companies.This could even increase transfer speed while lowering fees! Btw: Thank you for your excellent channel, I value your opinion highly!

good and noble idea, I don't have an answer to how the network would differentiate between a "normal" miners and school miner at the top of my head, maybe we can have a voting system or something but then the question becomes how to incentivize everyone. Glad you like the channel my friend :)

Hi Ivan, Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! Please keep this idea in mind, share it with your tech friends and lets try and make this concept a workable reality! Perhaps proof of stake mining is the answer? I hope your supercomputer brain gives us an answer to this conundrum! See you on Steemit! @icedrum

What will help people come out of poverty is working on themselves. Not money.
That's why there's a difference between decentralized and distributed. We should exit the Internet and build it from the ground up with P2P protocols that works "offline", the Distributed Web. Currently these cryptocurrencies needs Internet.
I didn't become financially independent until I was in my late 40's, and I'm still in my 40's. In addition to having purchased my second home and earning money on a monthly basis through passive income, I've also achieved three out of five goals. I just hope this inspires someone to realize that it doesn't matter if you don't have any of these things yet, you can start today no matter your age. Change your future by investing! I made a rather big decision by investing in the financial market

This is a great and informative video! Yes, I am kind of new to Bcoin although I learned from it since 2009 but I was never able to acquire or to even possible to get into learning more about it since at the time I was also new to computers and did not knew how to follow the system nor I have the accounts that I needed at the time, etc.....
This topic has been touched several times in the world of cryptocurrency and has created some mistrust because of malicious developers, once Deeponion had one that they ejected on time, you always have to be careful.
I keep hearing that blockchain will help the world's poor out of poverty because "a lot of poverty is because of financial exclusion" but I think this might be an incorrect assumption. For instance, in South Africa people are getting poorer than ever because of massive corruption from the top -- so taxpayer money is stolen or spent on useless projects aimed at creating kickbacks (politicians and their filthy little friends) -- so education is collapsing, skills-creation is collapsing, healthcare, policing, etc. is collapsing. So, the cause of poverty is that 50% of the population have zero skills (the type of skills that a company can use to create profit with) and I don't see how blockchain can help people who only have basic manual labor skills in a region with a large pool of manual laborers and a small pool of jobs for manual labor. So, it seems that impoverished nations are poor because of their cultures of hyper-corruption, not because of financial exclusion in the sense of "they don't have a system to pay with or get paid with" ... because they simply have no way of getting income because they don't have skills that can create income. Therefore I don't see how these people can be helped until we find a way to remove corrupt ways of thinking (cultures) from the minds of entire populations. Am I missing something here?

YES! we happen to be a freelance marketplace that has people training in remote areas around the world in real skills and using crypto to buy and sell. This could not be possible any other way. many of these people live in super rural areas where its nearly impossible to bank. the world is changing rapidly.
