Hey Adam, nice work on the trails. The weather will work hard on the trails but you have the equipment to help keep them open. Have fun with your property and family, be safe and keep up the good videos. Thanks for sharing with us.

Best time to plant a tree is 40 years ago. 2nd best time is today. One of my favorite sayings. Applies to buying land too. With a growing world population large plots of land are going to become more and more scarce therefore more expensive

Good work Adam, the box blade makes for quick trail work. Your bush looks beautiful and lush and the soil looks good enough to eat. Noticed you have a few muddy clay spots, I throw wood chippings on my muddy sections and it makes a big difference. Put a chipper on your future implement list.

Oh yeah. A chipper is definitely on the list. One of the main reasons I went with the 35hp machine over the 25 hp. Thanks Mark!

Nice box blade work. However after you've got the rough grade completed, going back over it with a land plane will really flatten out and average out the dirt. It's fast, an easy implement to use, will leave it amazingly flat and level, and will become one of your favorite implements for gravel and dirt.

Thanks CJ. Something happened with the upload to KZitem. That’s why my voice sounds like a chipmunk at some spots in the beginning. But aside from that I think this was my favorite project on the tractor so far

Great job on the trail! Those box blades are a great tool. The one upgrade you can do to your tractor and it's not that expensive is add a cutting edge to your bucket. I think I paid around $200. They're hardened steel and will cut through everything from roots to ice and they will protect your bucket from damage. The buckets are soft steel and can get beat up fast.

I will definitely look into one. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m glad to see your Kioti still running strong. Makes me feel good to know mine will last hopefully a lifetime with proper care and maintenance

Great video it was very relaxing music and enjoyable to watch after a hard day at work. That Kioti tractor did an awesome job. I did see the tires turn a bit did you load the back tires when you bought it? Thanks for sharing.
@HometownAcres
5 жыл бұрын
Yep the rear tires are loaded. The machine with the front end loader, and tires loaded weighs about 4,500 lbs. the box blade puts it around 5,100 lbs. I was in another batch of slimy clay was why I was spinning a bit. Anytime I started to spin I’d just raise the box blade about half an inch and I’d start moving again

@@HometownAcres That stuff is like cheap peanut butter lol it was stuck to those tires good lol the loaded tires was a great choice 👍. I got into some Arkansas clay the other day I had to use the loader forks and lock the differential in to back out of that clay swampy mess not as stickying as your clay but still a mess.

I did get stuck once to the point I had to call my neighbor and have him bring his John Deere tractor up to pull me out. He’ll never let me live it down haha. He said “it’s not often you see a Deer saving a Coyote” lol. I tried winchin it out with the Polaris ranger but she was stuck pretty good. Uneven ground and muddy clay

Awesome video, have a question. It’s a stupid question, I’m sorry. I am in the process of buying land and want to buy a tractor with the bucket upfront like yours. It’s a Kubota it looks like it’s bigger then a regular lawn mower but it’s doesn’t look that much bigger. I want to make ATV trails with it but I want to have just hard pat down dirt. Do you think I could dig up brush and small skinny trees up and like dig down like 3-6 inches down so I can get hard dirt trails with a tractor that small ? And do you think the front bucket will do the job ??
@HometownAcres

So there is an old saying that goes “anything you can do with a big tractor, you can do with a smaller tractor, it’s just going to take longer” so in short yes, but it depends on how much time you have to make your trails. If you want to get it done quicker I would maybe jump up a size in tractor
@Hugo-Hernandez

@@HometownAcres Thank you for your response. I am in no hurry. I was just planning to buy a used one and keep around the property to make and maintain trails. I have seen some used Kubota for around $2,000-$4000. Thank you again and I am subscribing to your channel

I’ve done all the maintenance on my tractor so far. It’s about 30 miles to my dealer so it’s easier for me to do myself. Of course, if I needed something major done to it, I would take it in but I can handle oil changes and basic stuff like that.
