Great comparison. For the next ones, please, consider separating pros and cons into sections with different colors. This will allow the viewer to quickly focus on the area it is interested the most.

I love this review, you didn't spend any time in 'the weeds' and every sentence had a purpose. From what I can tell, it was extremely accurate too, based on what I've read on forums while comparing these monitors. BenQ 32'' it is! I hope you're still making videos.

Great video! I've been considering upgrading my current 27" 1080p ASUS monitor to something larger. I figure if I'm going larger, I might as well go higher resolution as well! What's great is that these were actually the three monitors I've been looking at specifically! Definitely leaning toward the BenQ once I generate the funds...

TheDbG33K very cool indeed. Glad I could provide the info you were looking for. For personal use I'm in a similar position yet id like to upgrade to a 34" 21:9 display instead. 😊

Are those that have purchased the Benq or Samsung ok with sitting at about 2 feet away from the monitor and about 3-4 feet for viewing movies?

Thanks man, I've gone ahead and ordered the BenQ. Didn't even think that they made 1440p 32" monitors, bye bye to crappy 1080p 32" HDTV i currently use as my daily monitor :D

Florian Uhlemann well i just spent 5 hours with it and unfortunately it will have to go back. i've got model with banding, 3 vertical lines when you look at solid color (more prominent at while and light gray). Read on internet that it's a common thing for this AU Optronics panel. Don't even know if i will try my luck with another model. I hope they view it as defect and i get my money back.

How would you compare the Philips BDM 3270qp against BenQ and Samsung? I'm trying to make up my mind between these three - some argue that the Philips has the most vivid colors? In case all three use the same VA panel, I find this rather unlikely. Great videos, btw! =)

Thank you for the positive feedback. As far as I can tell, they market the display against 3D CAD and Design work, with a 10bit support. If this is actually true, they might be able to get more details out and thus have more accurate colors, if properly calibrated and profiled. However, I can't tell you anything in terms of image uniformity or input latency.

+Florian Uhlemann I have to make a follow up. I bought the ACER and it was unsuitable even for web-browsing; the inverse-ghosting was RIDICULOUS! Then I got the BenQ and it had AWFUL uniformity and vertical streaks of slight darkness (6 of them evenly spaced across the screen)... Not sure if I'm the unluckiest person on the planet and keep getting defective monitors... but my only hope left is the Samsung! I saw it in person at Frys and it looks OK. Are there any other 32" or larger WQHD displays out there? I think ASUS makes one, but anything else?
@Chubyllama

First off thank you for the review. I have been trying to decide between the BenQ and the Samsung. By any chance would you know what the refresh rates and latency are? I want the BenQ but, the Samsung comes with a back plate that can attach to make it capable of a VESA mount and is currently $50 cheaper. Honestly if the BenQ was VESA capable I would by it right now.

Steven Hill i got the same narrowed down choices as you as i wanted 1440p gaming on large monitors instead of 4k gaming which can only be done well through 2x gpu. I'll get the benq too because of less input lag.

do you have anything on the AOC Q3277PQU ? it's a 32" WQHD by AOC. 4ms response but i am skeptical. I want a 32" for gaming but i am not entirely sure about the response timings.
@florianuhlemann
9 жыл бұрын
Kerenton I haven't reviewed that certain display, but keep in mind that all the monitors I reviewed are based on the AOC panel. (at least i know for sure for the Acer). Another thing to point out: response time is only have the truth! the actual delay you will experience is the combination of the input lag (of the electronics and signal converters) and the response time. So even if it might have a 2ms lower response time, the delay is usually somewhere around 8-16ms thus making a 1-2ms better response time barely (if even!) noticeable. The only display I wouldn't recommend for gaming was the Acer (bad electronics setup on my model in terms of ghosting). response times were good on all though, even if I had a very tiny tiny tendency of the samsung to lag behind. talking maybe half a millisecond here?
@DaffanZ
9 жыл бұрын
Florian Uhlemann Yes but the g2g is quite high, do you see motion blur in games? or smearing ? The input lag is not my real concern - but the response time of pixel changing from 0-255.
@florianuhlemann

DaffanZ No, not really. I'm using the BenW GW2760HS with a similar GtG time and it's not disturbing to me when gaming or watching movies.

Which one would you recommend for console gaming?
@florianuhlemann
8 жыл бұрын
+Mirza N Alam (ZED) Well, if I had to choose one of the three, I'd pick the BenQ. However, console gaming isn't well served with either of these monitors. You should pick one that features a native 1080p resolution and very low input lag (overall latency). I'm using a 42" plasma Panasonic TV for that, optimized for perfect image quality and low latencies. There are a couple of nice 32" panels (TV) what offer a low lag - but this is something you'll have to figure out or check online. there are a few online resources (tables) that offer a comparison in input lag (roundtrip from device through HDMI, panel and back to the device)

+Florian Uhlemann thank you for you input sir. Most of my work is for cad. I also game on Xbox one on the side. So I am looking for a monitor that can serve both those purposes. Still researching tho. Let me know if you have any personal choices on this matter.

You never mention the COST of these monitors which does matter. Why not include this in the ranking? A fantastic Mercedes car is just wonderful but not for some poor guy making $30K per year. Does anyone else see what I am saying at all? These reviews are great but please add the COST as a variable.
@florianuhlemann

You are right. The prices should be part of the review, however, I only compare displays with another that are comparable in price, meaning they are targeting the same price market. As the prices change greatly over the life-time of a monitor. This means I recommend checking the current market prices and use the information I provide to make your final purchase decision.
