320 billion, or 2 billion USD, is an insane amount of money. Incomprehensible, even. That kind of funds can do great things for a country like Jamaica. And to think, Jamaica is developing infrastructurally at breakneck speed already; with roads, businesses and now entire town centers being built from the ground up. The potential future developments Jamaica is capable of doing could easily leave the rest of the region in its wake. And for context, the $320 billion JA /$2 billion USD sourced through the IFC is not via loans. Jamaica won't owe them any money from this; this is through international PPPs and the trust (via MOU) the IFC has in the Jamaican government. Comparatively, the North-South highway (the most expensive infrastructural project in Jamaica to date) was built at a cost of 730 million USD, and the future North Coast Highway Expansion is said to be done at a cost of $800 million USD. With $2 billion USD far eclipsing any of that - again, NOT via a loan - who knows what big yet well-needed project Jamaica is capable of now. Given the government's newfound strength in acquiring international funding like this I think its safe to say Jamaica is not short on funds for development anymore.

I love your content. It's insightful and informative. As a Jamaican native I've learned much from your videos about the upcoming infrastructure projects. I do have one small request of you. You REALLY need to invest into a QUALITY microphone, your voice sounds terrible, and its kind of annoying that you don't see this yourself when you edit the videos. Content of this caliber should have good audio to go with the great video. I hope this helps

It's a good time for national development. Broadband Internet 🛜, centers of excellence in nephrology and oncology in the health sector, widened section of the North Coast highway from two to four lanes, multiple water and energy projects. Jamaica on the move.
