Thank you 😘Oswald, one of my viewers, who is a 11 yr old, and a son of one of my other viewers refers to my art is “unconventional” which I find quite cute! If you think this is weird, you need to join the Valentines premiere on Friday where I’m going to be unveiling something completely new and different for me and from other things I’ve seen! I’ll be announcing it as the week goes on.

Love love your swipe art creation Louise! I've ordered a small pkg. Of stiff acetate sheets, as I really enjoy watching the CA as it drags through the paint. I think these clear sheets would be great to use as a beginner, for the same reason. Thank you Louise, for all your tips & tricks and lessons! ❤

Thank YOU Jen😘, honestly, I’ve tried other swiping “tools” and I always end up coming back to the acetate because it’s so easy and I can cut it down on the fly as you saw here. And yes, watching the cell activator go to work is a lot of fun. Glad you enjoyed this.😃

Gorgeous! I guess 3rd try’s a charm! 😁 Love your lazy Suzan’s. Wish I could figure out how to tape mine off. I’m nervous to create a mess and I’m afraid it will fly off my spinner!! I’m a scaredy cat! Haha! ✌️💜😊
@LouiseMcKayArt

lol, I show taping the bottom in a video I’ll link. But basically you cover the bottom and tape the lazy Susan still, let your spinner spin, Not the lazy Susan. Hey, worst case, you scrape, clean the LS and go again. kzitem.info/news/bejne/rq9tupagmHZqiGksi=1yRxEeA6pgxgE_Yc

Me again. The ending were you had the finished lazy susan, with in the lazy susan. That was one cool effect with the editing. Might be worth experimenting for real with a susan on top of a larger susan.

Pretty piece. I just finished the bloom class and have a a quick question, if that’s ok. Why’d you mix your pigments with tube paint? Is there the same issue with not using a pigment under the cell activator?
@LouiseMcKayArt
7 ай бұрын
Hi Katie, thank you for being here and good questions. I just find that having the tube paint that is already premade with binders, helps the Mica potters and holding together. I’ve had some paints that were only Mica that broke apart when I stretch them out, and maybe there was something I was doing wrong with how I mixed it, but I find generally my colors hold better together, mixed with a tube paint as well. Now it does depend on the color too, typically the Seaglass holds up fine, but I was working with one the other day that just did not hold up well. Also, you make a good point, I made the mistake the other day of putting a mica under the cell activator. I will be showing that video upcoming, it just didn’t act the same, and it made the center cells just very glisteny and less defined. it was just a different look. Not conventionally “correct“. I’m always learning, trying things.
