Truth is a sword of conviction. Never apologize for inviting reflection and questioning “why?” I appreciate when people come to obedience to convictions rather than capitulating to the cultural expectation.

Please know that for this one momma in Florida, your videos on Christmas have been such a blessing. This is year two for us not celebrating and I have to say, most believing friends and family bash us to the moon! It’s insane, they don’t even take a moment to try to understand or think critically. I have complete peace about it. I don’t know of any Christians in my life that don’t celebrate🥺 but I know a ton of non believers that do celebrate.

Very good point. Usually when the many of the world are doing something...it's not Christian. Though God does work his way in of course..in ways of popular laws etc that are founded on the Ten Utterances..."thou shall not murder" etc But this kind of very obviously commercialized, paganized day that's BASED on Jesus' birth faked by the Catholic Church. Lol I just don't get how you can say you're not celebrating his birth but you're celebrating him in a special way, on Christmas. It's like a "happy belated birthday Jesus" LOL 🙈 I just don't get the point unless that's a date used to tell people they are wrong, which I feel is not the best time. I'd rather promote a day during Sukkot before the holidays, etc. Passover..!!! ❤ Anyway. I appreciate your point of view and agree.

I grew up keeping Christmas then began observing Gods Holy days at age 21. My biological family has never supported me. The loss is sometimes unimaginably hard. I am so passionate about helping people process & grieve this loss, well. It’s a transition. This is my 18th year not celebrating Christmas and it wasn’t until last year I gave myself permission to grieve honestly and feel my sadness genuinely with abandon. It’s hard to do if there are people around who don’t celebrate Christmas and they didn’t grieve. I had to forge my own path.

The Incarnation and birth of Jesus Christ is entirely Biblical and a most worthy celebration. The entire Old Testament points to this incomprehensible act of God to take on human form and be born in a stable on a Holy night in Bethlehem. Agreed, the bible doesn't name Dec. 25th but it doesn't give a calendar date for any event so is a calendar day a reasonable expectation? The Church chose that day and we recognize that Jesus gave us the Church, not the Bible; The gift of the written Word follows the gift of the Church. Jesus Christ is the center of time, all things are BC and AD are in reference to the year of the Lord, the Incarnation. An event we call Christmas. The beauty, simplicity and wonder of authentically Christian celebration of Christmas is a beloved treasure of Christian Churches and homes because we recognize the gift of Jesus. Our Lord is most worthy of this time to turn our attention to Salvation history and make room for Him at "the Inn" of our own hearts. The busyness and excessive buying is of the world but the Incarnation is of Divine origin. Its December 3rd, blessings for this Advent, preparing the way of the Lord in our hearts and homes, the Jesse tree is a wonderful Christian tradition to help us prepare to celebrate the coming of our Savior. God bless 🙏

Very well expressed, thank you! I don’t understand all this going back to Old Testament celebrations/feasts. They were all pointing toward Jesus - who is the fulfillment of all that and the Law. One theme of the book of Hebrews is that Christ is “better”. That the OT was a foreshadowing of Christ - the fulfillment! Yes, we understand that December 25th is not the actual birthdate, but whatever the actual date is, God thought it was important enough to recognize and celebrate with a heavenly host of angels singing and guiding the Magi to the Christ child to worship.

You can argue all day long about celebrating or not celebrating Christmas. But in the end it is a very personal decision and choice, and I think the chapter of Romans 14 applies to this. Paul describes some believers who were convinced it was wrong to eat meat, and other believers (including Paul himself) who believed it was perfectly fine to eat it. Instead of giving a string of points about why eating meat is ok, he cautioned the meat eaters not to offend those who abstained, and not to try and convince them to eat meat. . He also said that the abstainers should follow their convictions, and that even if they found out later it was ok, if they ate meat while believing it was wrong,it WAS sin for them. He also told the non-meat eaters not to feel more righteous and not to judge the meat eaters. This issue of celebrating Christmas or not is very much like what is in Romans 14, and we should live by what Paul says in this chapter. We should follow our beliefs, NOT try and convince others to believe as we do, and totally walk with each other in love. I have seen and lived in both sides of this issue (including impact on family and friends), it’s very personal to me so I refuse to discuss it here. Everybody just needs to be kind and loving. It’s just stupid and tragic to fight over how to acknowledge the birth of Christ, with all the circumstances that fulfilled prophecies, proving He was the foretold Messiah. In arguing we miss the point that without the miracles surrounding His birth, we have no Messiah and no Savior, and no forgiveness of sins. God loved us so much He sent His son to save us, and the least we can do is love each other.

I think the response you received was very respectful and right! I am a christian also and celebrate Christmas. But after watching you for the last year it is obvious you cant handle someone not agreeing with you. Your Christianity is your own, but you seem to think your opinion, your studies are right and the right way to live as a Christian. I think this is the lord saying something to you about your tone, your words you use, and your actions. Yes you are on youtube and that brings other opinions that do not agree with yours. Also you have a way of saying punchy little comments that may be offensive. So this women caught all the things that needed to be brought to light. Now as a veiwer and a Christian i think you need to ponder on what was said and how you can change some of the delivery and the words youve daid in the past. I think this is a learning experience for you. Pray about it and look in the mirror when you speak. It might help you hear what you are saying then just speaking in to your camera at your audience. Again i thing her response was good and kind and very thorough. We are all not perfect, but i think you are used to speaking and everybody goes your way. Well this is a bigger audience then your home, there are alot of very intelligent Christians who know the bible maybe even better than yiu. So we need to be careful on passing judgments on how people should be serving the lord and celebrating him. Hope you learn for this and i pray the lord speaks to you. Keep sharing the gospel that is the one most important service we should be doing. Making disciples and spreading the gospel so all can be saved. ❤

I'm not sure if you will see this comment or not, but I will leave you my thoughts, being that I was one of the commentators on your past video on this topic. (First and foremost, I want to say thank you for your transparency, and vulnerability, and for expressing the sentiments of yourself and your family. I hope your daughter(s) and son are okay and not broken down to a point of unfruitfulness from the recent video that was put out.) It simply appears that you were misunderstood by a lot of us recently. We didn't quite get the fullness of what you were trying to get across because of certain reasons. As this commentator you featured mentioned, you had said some "buzz words" that made it challenging for us to see all that you were trying to say. (Such buzz words were, for example, [quote] "just call it what it is" in regards to Christmas. This came across as being mildly sarcastic and what caused such a reaction from many people, myself included. But honestly, the commentator put everything in perspective, so I don't need to repeat what this person so beautifully said.) I am a 27-year-old man with two daughters and the most beautiful person who I get to call my wife. We don't look at Christmas as the ACTUAL day Jesus was born. We look at the Christmas SEASON as simply a time to focus "more so" on the birth of Jesus rather than during other times of the year ---- (Don't throw stones, please, because I know you mentioned in your video that we should always be celebrating Jesus' birth everyday. I'll address this more below. Stay with me!) ---- Why? Well, we listen to the BBN Radio Network, for example. They play songs about Jesus' birth during this time. Certain grocery stores play songs about Jesus' birth here in Canada (Yes, it is true, and praise the Lord for this!) Do you want to know another thing? Our neighbours have giant santa clauses on their house and whatnot. Our oldest daughter (3 years old) says, "Daddy, look, is that a santa claus?" And then I say, "Yes, my daughter. But guess what? Santa isn't real, but JESUS is real, and He is worthy of our affection rather than santa." And guess what? My daughter agrees with me! I have used our neighbour's santa claus as an opportunity to point my precious daughter to Christ. Hallelujah! Satan can't do anything to thwart that. It's not like I'm going to go knocking on my neighbours' door and tell them to remove their santas and whatnot. I can simply take advantage of this evangelistic opportunity. And it works! Do we have a Christmas tree? No. Do we indulge in commercialism associated with this time? No. Do we reverence the DAY of Christmas on the 25th? No, no, no. Jesus was 99.99% not born on this day. It's just a SEASON and a TIME to especially remember His birth. But as you said and as is so obvious, we can celebrate His birth ANY day or even EVERY day. When commercialism gets in the way or idolatry or any other purpose than Christ, we need to guard our hearts to not entertain such things. Grace and Peace to you, and I hope my comment does more good than harm. And thank you for your time in clarifying yourself and your family in this video. It takes a real character to do what you did after seeing some of the fallout. May the Lord truly continue to guide you through this time!

I appreciate the thoughtful convo on both sides, so thanks! 🙏🏻💟Got Questions has a good article on this topic. Here’s the last 2 paragraphs: “Some Christians say that since the world celebrates Christmas-although it is becoming more and more politically correct to refer to it as “the holidays”-Christians should avoid it. But that is the same argument made by false religions that deny Christ altogether, as well as cults such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses who deny His deity. Those Christians who do celebrate Christmas often see the occasion as an opportunity to proclaim Christ as “the reason for the season” among the nations and to those trapped in false religions. As we have seen, there is no legitimate scriptural reason not to celebrate Christmas. At the same time, there is no biblical mandate to celebrate it, either. In the end, of course, whether or not to celebrate Christmas is a personal decision. Whatever Christians decide to do regarding Christmas, their views should not be used as a club with which to beat down or denigrate those with opposing views, nor should either view be used as a badge of honor inducing pride over celebrating or not celebrating. As in all things, we seek wisdom from Him who gives it liberally to all who ask (James 1:5) and accept one another in Christian love and grace, regardless of our views on Christmas.” Even though we know 12/25 very likely isn’t the actual day of Jesus’ birth, hubs & I celebrate a simple Christ-centered Christmas. It’s dark & cold this time of year in CO; we love the cheerful, twinkling lights outside & the festive coziness & beauty of a tree inside. If we were convicted about it like we are about Halloween, we’d drop it like a hot potato, but so far we aren’t. God bless y’all & Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. ❤

A slave to the vendor...This is a manipulated idea to condition and brainwash you to succumb to the world's idea of making any idea accepted and normal. The world want to makes us to comply as if we need something like this or any other pagan idea to exist in this life. Wrong!!!! Our landfills are filled with not only regular items tossed away and I am sure it includes gifts given for every occasion human thinks you should gift a person. I have seen people's items end up in Yard Sales, flee markets, Good Will, and Thrift Shops. This is not honoring God at all. We are living in a time that people are already in debt and to make a person feel bad that you do not join in on this conjured holiday. Where do we see this is about Jesus? Christians are to separate from pagan doctrines and beliefs. Believers need to follow God...not pagan ideologies. Do not conform to this world system. I think everyone feels the need to justify whether they do or don't celebrate Christmas and how or why, but like she says many times in her videos, it's between you and God. He's the only one whose opinion matters. And when I first followed my convictions and gave up Halloween, it was hard not to feel judgy/feel like they were doing "wrong." But I came to realize, God will always honor and bless sacrifices we make to try to come closer to him and become more holy, even if they are our own ideas and not necessarily commanded by God. Peoples choices to give up a love of anything in the world will always bring them closer to Christ. But those who are choosing to give up a certain holiday for His names sake, may also have things they still love and enjoy in the world that others have chosen to give up even if they keep loving and celebrating holidays. Anyway, it helped me in my perspective to not judge others or be tempted to think myself above them in any way. Making personal sacrifices to God and giving up our love of culture for Him, is a sacred and intimate journey and people will find their own way of doing it. It won't all look the same for everyone. ❤

@@inchristalone25I would argue that same verse applies very well from Heidi’s standpoint as well. There is a definite lack of charity from the Christmas celebrating crowd that would be welcome. Simply stating that you can still be a Believer and not partake in a traditional celebration is a simple enough message that a lot of us need to hear. While the other side tends to take this basic statement that there is little to none Biblical backing to celebrate as a personal attack and then they HAVE to have you validate their feelings that it is okay for THEM to celebrate. I would say there is some room to grow if you have to be validated from the people with convictions against it that you’re the exception and you’re doing okay by celebrating. If I had a conviction against drinking, yet my friend who has a glass of wine needs me to tell her it’s okay every time I mention my conviction, it could get very tiring.

@@emeraldcoal2360 I never said I need to be validated. Many of the comments on her videos about Christmas are taking an extremist position that those celebrating Christmas are sinning. One even said it's akin to satan worshiping. That's not Heidi's position. Those with convictions need not enter into the realm of holier than thou. It'd be like an alcoholic who is recovering going around claiming anyone who drinks alcohol is sinning against God. And there are certainly those people. As well as those who are just overly legalistic in their life due to weak consciences. If Christmas is a stumbling block because you don't want to sin against God that's fine, if you were my friend I wouldn't talk about it and I wouldn't force my views on you.

@@emeraldcoal2360 I saw your main comment here as well and just wanted to be clear on my stance so I don't add to the list of people you think are holding on to their flesh. I absolutely hate the commercialism of Christmas and would quit it for that ALONE. We could celebrate it on a different day and I'd perfectly fine with it. I praise God everyday not just on Christmas and Easter and Sunday morning. I have learned to let go of the desire for family togetherness (we are for the first time not doing anything with the extended family this year), that was probably the most difficult for me because I grew up surrounded by family for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was a comforting event. And that can happen regardless of the day. I think many Christians are holding on to it for that alone. The togetherness of the celebration, maybe they feel alone in their life, maybe they don't have the relationship with God they really need to not feel alone, maybe they don't even have a church family that they do life together with. I am going through that season and I've had to rely on God for all of that. It has greatly increased my faith. So I am all for what Heidi is saying in that regard. My comments here are mostly coming against those who are not charitable towards those who have not gone through the process yet. And I do think it's wrong to equate it to satan worshiping as someone here has done. Going shopping, putting up decorations and spending time with family is not worshiping satan no matter the roots of putting up decorations.

I have celebrated Christmas all my life (49 years!) but I don’t have any problem with others not celebrating Christmas. When I got saved at 13 years old, Christmas took on a whole new meaning for me. The hymns, the gifts, everything became so precious and pointed to Jesus in such a tangible way. Then when I was an older teen, I made friends at church who didn’t celebrate. I literally thought nothing of it, but just accepted it as something they had a personal conviction about and left it at that. The second Christmas season I was around them, they became so hateful, at one point yelling at me and saying I didn’t love Jesus because I celebrated Christmas. I have to say I was heartbroken. One of these girls I had considered to be my best friend. It broke that friendship. All this to say, whether you celebrate or not, please do it in love. Don’t condemn or judge others who see differently than you do. I’m sure it’s hard for those who don’t celebrate if they’re in a congregation that does. But if we put Christ first, there is room for everyone who believes.

She had a really emotional response and said "we do all these things and then go to church!!! ". One particularly irascible old man asked me what Bible I was reading...I responded KJV. He accepted the paper, folded it in half and walked away to put it in the trash. I think the thing people really like is that the families gather and make time for each other...they just can't pull it away from the other stuff. What I usually tell people is that Jesus only cares that you don't do those things in His name. In other words, Christ would prefer that His name is taken out of Christmas. Today someone may be told to 'make a wish and blow out the candles'. Are they praying to Selene? No. They are just having fun. I ran into a Pasfor & his wife & said we don't celebrate Christmas & I was like Thank you Jesus Thank you God for hearing my prayers and then to see your post as well. I am not alone & I am not going crazy or weird. The enemy loves to use this, but stay close to God. When I started to think about Christmas & the whole thing & how it becomes the golden calf & we go into debt, overwhelmed, I was struggling & especially when co-workers know you are a christian & not celebrating that? To all of them I must look like the grinch to them. But now that I see more posts what the Lord has put in my heart & Him answering my prayers God is good. I keep saying Lord expose the enemy, expose the lie, shed light into this situation & look. You should be So encouraged that the Lord is opening our eyes & to see. Yes you are going to go through those trials & tribulations but to know you are not alone you have family with you but to celebrate that your eyes are being open & your helping others & your helping your followers to see the truth now is the time to use this, pray for more eyes to be open & for those that can't or don't want to see it pray for them, pray for those that prosecute you. Remember even Jesus went through so much how can we not go through it. Speak to them in Love to take down those walls of darkness, hurt, pain, confusion but for the Love of Jesus Christ to touch them in the name of King Jesus of Nazareth who came to set the Captives free. Who the Son sets free is free InDeed!! Amen, AMEN & AMEN!! Be blessed & encouraged. 7:17

You have to remember that satan works through weak vessels to try to get to you. Christmas is NOT Jesus’ birthday!! It is no where in the bible. Christmas is Tamuz’s birthday and it is pagan! Thats all I’m gonna say and whoever wants to do their reasearch will… like if y’all just want to live life with blinders on because living in sin and giving in to your flesh is far superior to you than living in obedience just say that!

@@MrsM74 maybe you would be hestitant. I am not you. I agree we live in sin daily. I said satan works through weak vessels meaning that this may not be coming from the person personally but from satan. Remember that our battles are not through flesh and blood. There’s a spiritual war that our physical eyes cannot see. The devil is always looking for someone to devour. Satan along with his demons are always working hard to make us fall. But sometimes if we lack prayer and discernment we may not catch it in the moment. And I say we to include myself. As believers in 2023 where you have to do little to no digging there is information about everything out there. We should be researching everything we’re doing or participating in. In regards to Christmas it is not in the bible. Jesus’ birthday or anyone’s birthday are never mentioned. If people don’t want to do a whole lot of research all they have to do is turn on their tv. I think we all know that hollywood is pagan and they all sing christmas songs and do all the things to promote christmass. Hollywood is anti christ so why are they participating in a holiday that is supposedly for jesus??? Everybody is doing is yet the bible says “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Just let that marinade for a bit . We as believers need to also do our part in making sure that we walk in obedience to the best of our abilities and that everything we do is of the Lord not against him but scripture also says that people are destroyed for lack of knowledge and at that point if people want to continue putting their blinders on then at that point we are told to shake the dust off our feet and move on🤷🏻♀️

Are you putting your true hope in yourself and how you might look in KZitem!? We all need to look deeply into our hearts on WHY we do what we do. Thanks for making me think hard about this. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven…Matthew 5:10 The fact that there has to be debating back and forth over a holiday that is not biblical or a commandment of God, shows the idol that Christmas has become. God is not impressed or pleased by this. God is pleased by our faith, which comes by hearing and believing His word, not by our own opinions, ideologies or traditions. Christ is celebrated when we live a holy and righteous life everyday, not once a year. If we would simply follow God’s word and stop following our own thoughts and feelings. Again I ask, “What is the purpose of debating something that is man made and not a biblical commandment?” You did your due diligence and spoke truth about Christmas. We have to accept that when we speak God’s word, we are going to get pushback. It’s just disheartening when the pushback comes from other “believers”.

Having eyes to see and ears to hear is not the common thing. Eyes and ears are being opened more and more, and when you convey to YT audiences that yours have been, you will be questioned and almost verbally abused by one’s with not open eyes and ears. Seeking the truth is much harder than sitting around and being told what to think. Hang in there, whatever your path may be. I have experienced the same… And, when people say “are you Jewish, those are Jewish things”, kindly remind them that all those Feasts and Festivals were given to All 12 tribes, not just Judah(Jews), and that as followers of Yeshua, we are part of Abrahams seed now, which means those things are for us. Heidi, I just want to share some encouragement with you for your boldness and willingness to speak Truth. I grew up in the Lutheran church, but had never made Christ Lord of my life until about 4.5 years ago. Since then I have been studying Scripture for the first time in my life and as I have learned more and deepened my walk with Him, I have also started to ask some questions. For me I didn't understand why if we are grafted into His Chosen people, then why doesn't The Church do the same things His people do/celebrate/follow...those things that were given to us in His Word? Over the past year, Holy Spirit has been taking the scales off my eyes regarding the holidays and the Feast Days given to us by YHWH. This is my first year quitting Christmas and it is a very tough thing to do when it comes to family and those who also believe in their hearts they are doing it for the Lord. However, He tells us that we are not to worship Him like the pagans worship their gods...that is the kicker for me. He loves us so much and we love Him, so shouldn't we love and worship Him like He wants to be worshipped? And if He says don't mix it with pagan worship, then I don't want to do that. He did give us Feast days to celebrate Him and they all point to Yeshua, so why wouldn't we just do as He told us to do...worship as He asked us to worship? Next year will be my first year celebrating the Feast days and I am really looking forward to it❤ I did want to thank you for sharing your convictions and experiences. It helps to know we are not alone and there are others who may be or have gone through similar situations that I am as I quit Christmas this year. May the Holy Spirit bring you some comfort today and some encouragement to keep speaking Truth and may the Lord bless you and your family Heidi today and always ❤🙏🙌🏻

We quit Christmas last year after I found another teaching channel and learned the depths of the paganism. Learning what each thing symbolized was appalling. The ones who want to criticize and justify simply do not know the depths of evil that are in the celebration. Start researching the masons and satanism. This about pagan god birthdays, human sacrifice, overt sexual abominations, etc. There are many videos out there from those who used to be part of the occult and verify it. If you don't want to research, you truly don't want to know. Learning what I learned changed my life, but you know what, God is so much bigger and better and I feel free. I have been opened up to what all the idols in my life have been.

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 7 But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. 8 But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. 1 Corinthians 8:4-8

I agree with gracealone… on several of her points. My problem I’m having with you lately is that anyone who does something different than you , you chalk it up as we have “a heart issue” that doesn’t sit well with me. I feel as with this topic you come across as being at a higher level as those who choose to celebrate Christmas . Those who don’t celebrate Jewish holidays are somehow not as “Christian as you” . I don’t like that. Jewish holidays were meant to be celebrated by the Jews. The Jews didn’t believe in Jesus being the messiah and yet you choose to celebrate those days instead . Don’t get me wrong, I love the Jewish people, I stand with Israel 100%. But I don’t see why celebrating the Jewish holidays trumps Christian holidays. I personally believe Easter as the most holy day of the year followed by Christmas.

They are not 'Jewish holidays', they are the Lord's Biblical Holy Days.. Christmas and Easter are man made 'holidays'.. The Lord's Holy days are for everyone.. There are many Jews who now believe in Jesus, including Jonathan Cahn.. His lineage can be traced to the House of Aaron in the Bible, The Royal Priesthood.. He teaches they are for all.. He posted a video yesterday on his youtube channel about the Israeli Mystery.. 'For if you belong to Messiah, you are Abraham's descendants, heirs'~ Gal 3:29.. Both Jews and non Jews are all one in Messiah, we are the chosen remnant of Israel.. The blinders are coming off, we are being woken up to truth.. Even Jews are turning to Jesus.. Gentiles are returning to the Lord's true Feasts.. These are signs of the times..

Christmas is not a set apart time by God. It’s foundation is not Christian. People need to look at what they do to worship God and ask the question is this pleasing to Him. God said not to go to other nations and worship Him the way they do. To attach Jesus to a holiday that it’s foundation is pagan, it’s surrounded with lies. It has been taken from pagan practices and Christianized because it appeals to the flesh. To hear ministers say how Christmas is pagan but we like it is sad. Christmas is attached to Jesus, it’s an act of worship supposedly yet God warns us against worshipping how we want to. He gives direct instructions on what He wants. We don’t get to choose how we want to worship. That makes us above God. It actually would be better to not attach Jesus to this pagan holiday and let Santa have his day. My goodness! Jesus, is replaced with santa with him being all knowing, punishing bad, rewarding good. Everywhere at one time, he knows if your good or bad… that’s sickening to me. Yes , some people leave santa out in their home but what testimony are you being? Standing up for truth sets you apart . Nobody is going to ask you why you celebrate Christmas but they will if you don’t. People who absolutely knows nothing about Jesus celebrate Christmas . There is definitely a lot of things that are pagan but are you using that as an act of worship? Stand for truth , you will be blessed for it. Thank you for all your encouragement ❤

I really wonder if all these KZitemrs that hate Christmas now (who previously loved Christmas), it is because they’re jumping on the “Christmas is pagan” bandwagon. I seriously wonder how many of these Christian KZitemrs would still have a “conviction” about celebrating Christmas if platforms like KZitem didn’t exist. I wonder how much of these thoughts are actually conviction from the Holy Spirit, and how much is just influence by social media platforms where Christian’s are made to feel less “holy” by participating in holidays. It all comes across as self-righteous, like somehow you’re a more sanctified and mature Christian for not participating in cultural holidays. The bottom line is that celebrating holidays is not a salvation issue and the whole point of Christmas-bashing videos is to make yourself appear more sanctified than the rest and that seems far more sinful than celebrating a holiday. Satan is a thief of joy and holidays are supposed to be a joyful time of year. But now we have Christian’s persecuting other Christian’s for decorating their homes, family gatherings and the joy of selfless giving because somehow all that is sinful? Everyone knows it’s not Jesus’ actual day of birth, that’s not some mind-exploding enlightening fact. It’s a time of year that everyone is talking about it, a time of remembering him coming into the world. You say it’s not because of the paganism, but then talk about origins of tree decorating. So it actually IS about paganism, but you know that by saying it’s about paganism you’d have to admit it’s hypocritical because of all the other “pagan” things you acknowledged you participate in. Obviously the commercialism of Christmas and lying to kids about Santa is no good, but to throw out the whole holiday because it’s a “man-made holiday tradition”, it’s so hypocritical because everything you do to function in life is a man-made tradition. If social media didn’t exist and you weren’t inundated by the constant Christian Christmas-hating bandwagon, I wonder how much would really truly be “Holy Spirit” conviction rather than social media influence.

Something else to consider, satan would love nothing more than to keep Christian’s so focused on their self-righteousness by convincing them they’re somehow doing something wrong by participating in a “man-made tradition.” Convincing well-meaning, Jesus-loving Christian’s that they’re somehow doing something wrong because it’s a “pagan” time of year. What better way to squash all the love, joy, selfless giving, philanthropic, Christ-honoring characteristics that is more present this time of year than any other time of year. Instead it’s been turned into a self-righteous, dissension-inducing, divisive, hot-button topic within the Christian community. Sounds like something straight out of Satan’s playbook. You don’t want to celebrate Christmas, that’s a call you make for your family if that’s your choice. But to make videos about it (because it’s a popular topic in the Christian community now) for clicks and views does nothing for the body of Christ. I’m not saying you’re doing it specifically for the click and views, but I think you’re deceived into believing there is something inherently wrong with the celebration of holidays and are contributing to spreading the deceit like a virus within the Christian community. Sorry if I come across harsh, but holiday bashing videos within the christian influencer community are getting old. You are not the Holy Spirit- it’s not your job to convict peoples hearts. If the Holy Spirit wants to convict a Christian’s heart about something, the Holy Spirit will do so. He doesn’t need Christian influencers on social media to do it for him. It serves no benefit or purpose within a Christian community, instead it drives away unbelievers who might watch this or just confuses those new to the faith.

No we are convicted by the Holy spirit. We have so many questions. We see so many things wrong with the way christmas is celebrated aside from pagan traditions. We come across these pages because we are searching for answers and sometimes we feel isolated because we are up against a strong spirit of delusion, idolatry, and covetousness when it comes to these holidays. When we find other people who are feeling the same things we feel, have found the same answers through research and it is aligning with the Word of God. He is just confirming it for us in the many ways that he speaks to us. So that we may have peace on the matter because as you can see many Christians do not have peace on the matter. So much so thar if someone chooses not to celebrate Christmas it actually angers and offends christians.

I've been learning the history behind our holidays here in America. I will no longer be celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween , etc. I have felt a strong conviction about it. We are set apart from this world as followers of Christ. I think we need to stop focusing on our feelings and thoughts about questions of celebrating or not and turn to God and ask him how does he feel about. From what I've gathered so far Christmas started as a pagan holiday with Nimrod. The Christmas tree is from him and how is son came about. There is a verse in the bible that talks about not doing this. Jeremiah 10:1-4. Sounds like not decorating a tree to me. We are not to idolize anything. Just like when the Israelites made the golden calf and God destroyed it. They thought they were doing right by worshipping God this way but God did not want to be worshipped this way. I think if people would spend half the amount time they do decorating for Christmas to actual bible study, maybe they would get some answers. I'm not judging, I know it can be difficult. I believe we are all trying to the best we can. Our whole life of sanctification is a process. Constantly learning. We need to always make sure we are talking with our Heavenly Father and asking if whatever we are doing, does it please him. I agree with Heidi with what you said. Everyday we should have that same amount of enthusiasm like on Christmas day when worshipping God. We are to worship him daily. I saw one KZitemr whose family hasn't celebrated Christmas for 4 years and instead for the month of December they do a blessings month. Throughout the month they give gifts to one another to show love and give blessings. Christmas is a man made tradition. God never asked us to celebrate him like that. I personally dont get mad if someone does. Like you said Heidi its between them and our Lord. Very true. Same with me, its between me and our Lord. I have gotten such grief and judgement galore for saying I will no longer celebrate Christmas because it isnt biblical. I think we should have respect for one another. Remember that some people may feel convicted to do one while someone else does something different. It's not a salvation issue. We cant allow the enemy to divide us, that's what he wants. We can still love and respect each other. I love you all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I even love the nonbelievers. I love everyone because God first loved me. Let us remember the 2 most important commandments no matter what the debate is over. First we love God. Second we love our neighbors. Thank you for this video Heidi. I dont feel so alone anymore with this topic. I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry this is a book lol. God bless. P.S. This is strictly just my feelings on it and what I've been researching. Others may view it differently and that's ok. I love you all. Jesus is King!

I don't understand the big deal. It's a choice, like the many, many, many choices we make in a walk with Christ. We should all focus on our personal choices and cut out the judgement because that has no place in our walk. Personally, I enjoy Christmas but I absolutely get your message too. I'm not sure if there's a cultural thing but my Christmas is quite devotional and it's also sharing a holiday with my family who don't share my faith. Quite a mixed up thing, hands up but personally I'm celebrating the birth of Christ, never a bad thing. It's what's in the heart of the celebration in my personal opinion. Holy is in us. If I decide to make Monday a particularly special day of worship then in my opinion it's a Holy day for me and my God. Personally I do absolutely think I'm representing Christ in a Biblical sense at Christmas because I personally celebrate the nativity which means circumstances of Christs birth in the flesh. Regardless of the particular day, there is an day our God became flesh to deliver His beautiful deliverance plan. That's pretty biblical but hey if that's not biblical to you or anyone else, no judgement. Let's not fall into the trap of thinking we have climbed to absolute understanding. We all learn from each other, let's keep listening. Let's celebrate that so many people are making Christmas a Holy celebration. We could do with a bit more of that not less.

@@Catherine-ti5by Thank you! I genuinely think it's a valid thing for us all to consider. How we devote ourselves to God every single day and including Christmas day for those who wish to mark it. I agree totally with pointing out the Pagan origins of the holiday but a lot of the first Christians in Europe were Pagans. My earliest memory of Christmas is what was called Midnight Mass in our Anglican church on Christmas Eve. The service started at midnight and in amongst the believers, people who never attended church, piled in from the pubs. It was always a packed house. I don't know how many came to God because of the experience, if any but they picked up a Bible and heard the Gospel. Back to the Pagan Christians, I see it that as they converted they converted their faith and also some of their customs. They celebrated Jesus instead. Of course they were amazing compared to the atheist conversion of Christmas to a time of unadulterated hedonism. What a very sad thing. As I said a very valid subject for discussion. The fact we are discussing it now and it's causing us to put our faith in front of our choices is a beautiful thing. I'm glad of the opportunity to consider ❤️

26 minutes in and I can say I fully appreciate both sides given. I love Christmas. I do. If I'm honest, I love the sparkles and the baking and the getting together. I will give you some points Heidi, you have made me think twice about my irrepressible love for red and green jammies this time of year and cheesy movies and more ornaments that I don't really need. I saw one of your earlier videos, and I took one long hard look at our nativity set and thought about how sweet and simple and lowly it really was. It was something so precious, and it is precious to me that even unbelievers can maybe get the faintest whiff of it at Christmas time. I mean,Christ is in the name, what a doorway to conversation with even perfect strangers! Generosity is more common and accepted this time of year. Im going to a nursing home with Christmas presents and tracts this week for the very first time and Im very excited to meet everyone and tell them about Christ. Biblical or not, it really is a gift for us wannabe evangelists who struggle with starting conversations 😂 Also, just because it's cultural, doesnt mean it's bad. Every missionary everywhere in the world has to adapt to their culture. The one thing that I do wonder is about the actual "celebrating" with all the frills and silly things which I love. How much is enjoying, and how much is idolatry? I suppose the Holy Spirit will let me know that as I go along😂 He always does. But I do get suspicious of being a little too....fastidious. Especially when it comes to putting that on other people. Abstaining or not abstaining though, whether a weak or strong brother, we shouldn't fight. Not about this. That is the one thing I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt

I often say that if Christmas were, in fact, the holiest Christian holiday then everyone else in the world WOULDN'T be celebrating it. I personally know Hindus and Muslims that celebrate Christmas. The largest Christmas tree in the world is either in the UAE or Dubai. Atheists celebrate it. And, of course, those that are pagan today still celebrate it because it was originally one of their holidays anyway. If something is truly biblical, the rest of "the world" shies away from it, they don't lift it on a pedestal. We've gotten lots of backlash from our friends and family as well, but so much stress is gone from our year just not keeping these secular holidays and instead keeping to the biblical holy days.

I stopped doing Christmas too and I am getting the same confused backlash from my family as well. Modern Christianity does not question their traditions. Think of the story of Gideon. When he went into the temple, there were idols everywhere. You could not even walk up to the tent of meeting without tripping over idols. How do you think the people felt when Gideon started throwing out the idols? Same thing. They were clueless. Tradition has such a grip on modern Christian’s, they don’t want to research. I could yell till I am blue in the face explaining why we don’t do Christmas, because of the pagan origins and how it was never found in Gods word. Yet, they still will not understand. Those who have an ear, hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. He says someday I will turn your festivals into mourning, and your happiness to sorrow, or something like that. Look what happened to the Israelites when they tried to worship God the same way they worshiped the Egyptian Gods at Mount Sinai? God ordered the killing of 3000 Israelites who were involved in the incident! He’s not playing around. He wants us to worship him the way he instructed in his word. He DETESTS our festivals to the Lord. He wants us to honor his holy days of Passover, feast of unleavened bread, firstfruits, penticost, day of Trumpets, day of atonement, and feast of tabernacles/sukkot. We can’t obey them 100% until Christ sets up his millennial kingdom, but he wants us to remember them.

These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17) “The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming-not the realities themselves” (Hebrews 10:1) Paul settled the issue of the 10 Commandments in several places, among them Romans 10:4 that 'Christ is the end of the law to all who believe' and 13:8-10 when he lists several of the 10 Commandments in v9, saying before in v8 and after in v10, "to love your neighbor as yourself fulfills the law". His point as James' was in 2:10 where he said if you live by the OT law and break 1 law, you are guilty of all 613 laws. Therefore each said, as Jesus stated in Mark 12:29-31, that loving the Father will all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving our neighbor as ourself, are the top commands, for all the rest hang upon those 2. @@inchristalone25 two things, one, the festivals you mentioned are another term for the holy days and new moon being the day of trumpets. where are you getting 613 from? Theres not that many laws in the old testement. And a lot of them we cant strictly follow because it involves sacrifices and offerings which we cannot do right now because christ fulfilled them on the cross, or we need him on earth in the second coming to reinstate some others in proper order. We do not do those anymore. You can do what you want, but as for me, this is how I am going about honoring the Father. "I am celebrating Jesus birth, not a Pagan God", I think you missed the later part of my comment. Remember what happend on Mount Sinai when Moses went up the Lord, and the people, who were worried about Moses, decided they would worship God with the festivals and traditions they had picked up when they were in Egypt. This ANGERED God, and it resulted in the execution of many israelites. If you did celebrate Christmas because no one had told you these things before, God will NOT punish you, because you were ignorant of such truth, and was never taught that. But once you do know the truth, yet still decide to do the opposite, well, then you will have to answer to the Lord in the courts of Heaven on why you ignored this.

I know my stance is not popular, but I see Christmas as a modern golden calf moment. Exodus 32:4-5 reads as if Israel really thought they were honoring God by making the calf and declaring a feast. As Christians we have declared our own feast that isn't in Scripture and set up idols in our home to celebrate. Instead of being so focused on tying to make that day holy (or any other), we should search Scripture to see which days the Father has already declared as holy, and make sure we are celebrating those dates. THAT is the true worship that our heavenly Father desires. ❤

All the holy days of the old testament have not yet been fulfilled. We would all do well to study them and what they represent. We will also be keeping the Biblical feasts in the millennia, so what gives us the idea that we can toss them aside now? I'm not saying to never celebrate or contemplate Jesus birth. We can a actually get a pretty close approximation to the actual time our savior would've been born from Scripture, and it definitely wasn't on December 25. That date is actually the date of the reborn sun which is pagan worship. We are to discern the difference between holy and profane, clean and unclean, and to not mix them.

Girl, you are so apologetic to a fault. You have a humble heart. Don't allow someone else's lengthy explanations as to why they do what they do get the best if you. You don’t brag about not celebrating Christmas and you don't invoke or bring out your convictions to convict others on this delicate topic. People like you and I get the opposite responses. We get made out to be the Debby downers or Grinches who steal the Christmas spirit and take the joy out of things that were simply brought up through unholy traditions of men. We are the ones usually feeling bad for making folks feel uncomfortable and shame ourselves for having our convictions. We are not the majority by any means. So when we simply assert or shed light on these very delicate topics that create visceral reactions, we end up being wronged by others. I have been dealing with this within my family and I still deal with the indirect ways some individuals try to extend their invitation knowing I don't celebrate it and prefer to keep it as another day. Unfortunately it falls on deaf ears because they don't want to accept that we don't celebrate Christmas. I still feel that I am not fully supported by my husband and I do try to meet him in the middle without compromising my beliefs and convictions. If I invited them for Hanukkah I would get some really crazy looks I bet 😅. But I don't because I know they don't celebrate it and I don't ever want them to put them in that position in the first place. I have made it known to the in laws to please refrain from giving gifts and that we don't observe the Christmas season. But clearly they don't get it. Keep on doing what you do best, Heidi! This is much like every conversation I’ve had about this subject. I always try to come to this season with humility, respect and love for others who don’t see things the way I do, but ultimately I don’t receive the same back when I gently try to explain my position over and over to same people who just don’t get it. It’s a difficult time and Jesus is very clear to turn the other cheek but it’s hard to keep that respect for them going when I receive none in return. Especially when people want to convince me that I’m in the wrong because I made them feel badly about their celebrations! Possibly that has more to do with their Walk than mine when I prayerfully come to each Christmas conversation with as much grace as my heart can muster. I only bring up questions and try to show where I’m coming from and I am suddenly accosting their whole worldview. It’s not easy being the one to bring out the issues with such an emotionally charged holiday. Just know you are not alone in your convictions, Heidi. Heidi keep speaking the truth. Remember, truth is offensive: *Galatians 4:16* Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? And when you speak truth, the people who don't like what they're hearing adjust their hearing to hear what you're NOT saying. Folks are coming at you just because you simply suggest to them to SINCERLY examine themselves as to why they celebrate Christmas on December 25th & performing pagan practices in their celebration. *2 Corinthians 13:5* EXAMINE yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? As far as I've seen (correct me if I'm wrong), not at ANY TIME have you said people shouldn't celebrate Jesus' birth. The point is the PRACTICES performed in celebrating Jesus' birth. Most if not all the practices are rooted in paganism. Including the day chosen to celebrate Jesus' birth. Three hundred & sixty-five days in a year, & Christians somehow chose to celebrate the Messiah on the same day that Satan is honored? Huh? Really? *Isaiah 42:8* I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. So we're really gonna share God's glory with Santa aka Satan? We think so little of God that we can't give Him a day when He is not being celebrated along with an oversized bearded guy in a red suit & a bunny rabbit? Heidi, as long as you're speaking the truth in love, you're walking in God's will - you're good. Hold onto this scripture to keep you strong: *Galatians 1:10* For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. Be well

I personally think each to their own. However if we all abandon Christmas as a “Christian” holiday then they would stop praising God through songs and people would stop going to Christmas Eve services hearing Gods holy word. Far better to continue in celebration for the unbelievers than to abandon it altogether and have it become a non religious holiday. Satan would love that! Non religious people usually make an exception at least twice a year to celebrate Jesus and even go to church… we call them C.E.O’s (Christmas and Easter Only) attendees. Sometimes we have to look at the bigger picture… Jesus is the reason for the season picture… Mary did you know… oh holy night… and so many other wonderful praises to God sang on NON RELIGIOUS secular music stations being widely excepted as good. When the whole world is trying to shut Jesus out we still have one day they actually buckle and say ok he’s welcomed. I’ll take the win. My church does a Christmas tent sale every year called buy a tree and many people come by to buy a tree and don’t either believe in God or are looking for a church to attend…. It’s a prime opportunity to preach the gospel and or invite them to church. I agree with the commercialism Santa nonsense… cut that crap out! But to do away with a day that brings non religious people to church or maybe introduces a new church to other…. I’m not so sure about that. We should still want our lord celebrated. On another note… I completely and totally respect your decision with however you want to proceed with Christmas. Each to their own. Love ya! ❤

I was raised in a devout Catholic family and Christmas was very special to us. However, at age 39, after a year of battling with reading the (King James) Bible for the first time by God's grace I finally understood the gospel and I became born again by God's mercy and grace! I immediately cut out Halloween, Christmas, valentine's Day, and Easter. All of those cultural holidays are Catholic-rooted. Christmas is the Christ Mass. It's a Catholic feast day. Which was brought to Catholics by way of the Babylonian pagan traditions. I want nothing to do with false gospels and false Jesus'. The so-called Protestants have hijacked a Catholic feast day and ""Christianized" it. It's very sad. True Christians are not helping Catholics when they partake in their version of Jesus. It's a real stumbling block for Catholics to ultimately find out they're trusting in a false Jesus. I have God to answer to how my walk is before Him. If anyone is questioning their own Christian traditions...that is good! The Holy Spirit may be pricking this woman and that's why she's emotionally triggered by this. I pray she repents for being Catholic every December. She's not helping the lost to get saved.

I realized a few years ago that I actually hate the holidays, and with that realization that I have spent many Christmases feeling disappointed because it never was what movies and all the stores and commercials chock it up to be. We all have this image in our mind, or at least I did, that Christmas is happy and everyone drinks hot chocolate and blah blah blah. Reality is, Christmas has been made into a stressful, family drama, greedy, day/week/season. With this realization I have come to very much despise that I have celebrated a secular holiday more of my life, rather than celebrating Jesus’ birth. Furthermore, Christ's birth was a wonderful day but also He was an infant that would grow up to be sacrificed. We’ve made a self righteous party out of it with our Christmas trees floating over a sea of unnecessary and unappreciated gifts that we all felt pressured to buy. It’s hard to come to this realization, it truly made me feel so convicted and deeply sorry for what I had been doing for so long. Some times people’s hearts just aren’t ready for revelations like this, and it feels more like they are being accused or chastised. If anyone feels this way, I would urge you to pray about it. I think we all should be praying about where our heart is in this season because the last thing the world wants is for our heart to be seeking Christ and its so easy to go astray. God bless.

I 💯 % agree that we need to “call it what it is “ in MANY things. I believe the church as a whole has compromised so much over the years that many are deceived about what truly is of God and what is not. Another example that personally bothers me is when Christians say, “heaven gained another angel” when some has passed. We do not become angels. That’s isn’t biblical or true, it makes me cringe. Those misquotes/ misconceptions remind me of how the serpent decide Eve because she misquoted Gods commands about the tree of life. She said God said not eat or even touch it but he only said not eat it. Things like this Satan can twist to deceive. Thanks for all you do and I’m glad I found you (recently) I gave up Christmas several years ago on my own with the same convictions. Your videos were confirmation of that for me as I was wavering in that decision.

The point I got from this email is that she can’t admit that Christmas is a cultural tradition not biblical. With her explanation of how they honor the day is STILL a cultural/church decision to do. If you don’t do it, you’re not sinning. Her comment seemed very grace filled but also a stirring of something in her own life that she is now probably going to think about. You stirred her affection to think which is exactly where we need to be right now in society. We need to reflect and ask questions of why we do certain things and so many of us have to now deconstruct and weed through what is biblical and not. There is black and white things and other things are left to each individual to work through. I am on this journey with you and I’m still trying yor figure out how to approach things. In time I know the Lord will lead me to that place whatever it is. Thank you for your heart and your bravery to share.

I understand you Heidi, I know how people look at you when you say, you don't celebrate christmas. Stay strong you are not the only one that has passed for this, it's totally true that is a cultural holiday, is not in the scripture. The bible didn't say when Jesus was born, so no christian can say that you are wrong for not celebrate the winter sosltice or saturnalia, wich are the real reason behind christmas. You realized that, that wasn't holy and you followed what your conscience told you. That's fine, everyone have free will to choose what they want to celebrate.

Our risen Lord and Savior was a Jew himself, the night he was arrested he was eating the 'Passover' meal.. He is the Passover lamb who takes the sins from the world.. Just as the angel of death passed over the Israelites homes that were marked with the blood of the lamb.. He too passes over our inequities.. Our Lord was breaking and eating the 'Unleavened Bread' with His disciples shortly before he was arrested.. He said the unleavened bread represented his body and to break the bread often in remembrance of Him.. Jesus is the living bread that came down from Heaven, who ever eats this bread will not go hungry.. Jesus is the risen 'First Fruit' of God our Father.. He was set apart from the world, He had an incoruptible body, he was the bread with no leaven.. His body would not rot and decay, for He is Risen.. 'Feast of Weeks'/Pentecost.. Concluding Festival of the grain harvest.. The Spirit of God descended, Ruach Hakodesh/ Holy Spirt.. God's breath within us, We gentiles were spiritually dead and now have new life in Messiah.. The 2 leavened loaves come together during Feast of Weeks.. The Redeemed Jew and the Gentile.. The New Covenant was born.. We are all now one in Messiah.. For He is King of The Jews.. The Lord's Appointed Feasts are for all.. The Fall Feasts point to the Lord's Return.. 'Trumpets', Trumpet blasts announcing the King is coming/Repent.. 'Yom Kippur'/Judgement Day.. 'Feast of Tabernacles', When The Lord will tabernacle/dwell with man.. Jesus is coming soon, Amen and Amen!

There is more than one Holy day not just Christmas. Setting aside date accuracy regarding Jesus' birth, the incarnation of the God-man was certainly not just like any other day. I don't think those of us who celebrate that holiest (along with the Resurrection) of events of our faith are hung up on the exact day. Saying there is nothing holy or Christian about the incarnation of God in human form seems very 'off' to me. I would never compare Christian holy days to Thanksgiving or July 4th either imho..

I was feeling really convicted about Halloween this year and so my husband and I decided to stop allowing our son to go trick or treating. I was thinking maybe Christmas is the same, but I have decided no it isn't. The whole world is exposed to the true King on this holiday, many Christians do advent with their kids during this time which isn't worshiping pagans gods. Many also attend Christmas services at a local church even if they do not regularly attend, this is not worshiping pagan gods. Putting up a christmas tree even is not worshiping pagan gods, whatever we do we do it unto the Lord. “One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord” (Romans 14:5-6)

We decided as a family in 2019 to stop Christmas. We do not have to "admire" people for doing something not biblical and putting a Christian label. This person seems extremely defensive and emotional. I'm sorry you have to deal with people who expect perfect words from you yet clearly don't feel they need to also not hurt others. She will never hear that Christmas is NOT biblical. It was made up hundreds of years later. Which is why you call it worldly. It will never penetrate. It is kind and patient if you to try. She keeps pointing out what they do and observe yet she points to incorrect understandings of the scripture. For example the Maggi which did not visit Jesus when he was an infant but rather when he was a toddler. If it's truly about the celebration of his birth, that is not part of it. From outside of the situation it seems that she views herself as a righteous Christian and cannot tolerate you not "admiring " her in the way she deserves. I pray I am wrong. You are a blessing to all who are willing to evaluate our actions even if we are shown to be wrong. I was so happy to find your channel and your desire to truly worship with a clear conscience. Thank you from all who are blessed by your time and hard work. You are opening your hearts to all who watch you and that is a very vulnerable place to live. Thank you, thank you. Much love, Deme

Paul speaks about weak consciences. It's okay if you have a weak conscience just don't push it on others. I can be respectful towards your decisions, and you be respectful towards those who are not convicted. "So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. "1 Corinthians 8:4-8

@inchristalone25 I do not know who your message is directed toward. I find it interesting that you chose to use those scriptures yet left out the most important point Paul was making. "But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience you sin against Christ. Therefore if food makes my brother stumble, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble." 1Corinthians 8:12-13. If one chooses not to partake they are not responsible for the one who is "stronger" to not feel bad. Please stop attacking people who feel strongly about not doing something, to accuse them of being weak christians. This is not appropriate Christian live. I don't not force anyone to make the choices I make. Please show more love kindness and patience with fellow brethren. Much love, Deme

@@demep488 I am asking that of you. You were very clearly judging that lady who made that comment. You said: "it seems that she views herself as a righteous Christian and cannot tolerate you not "admiring " her in the way she deserves" This was why I reacted the way I did. I did not think the lady was behaving that way at all. And @heavenlymindedhome agreed with most of her comment! So you are taking it further beyond what she did. She said it would be amazing if most Christians celebrated it like her!! And I am very mindful of not causing someone to stumble, so much so I changed the way I dressed when I became a Christian, so no need to preach about that. If people celebrating Jesus' birth stumbles people to sin I don't know what to say. I think they have a lot of work to do in their heart and if it truly made them stumble I would be very careful not to talk about Christmas with them as any Christian would.

For REAL! ❤ It was heartbreaking for me to discover one of the biggest Christian role models in my life growing up, one of my best friends, has gone totally Luke warm. I honestly want to ask her if she's a Satanist now. At least to get her to recognize she is more aligned with that than with the Bible. The "you do you" mentality that is Satanic and has crept into the church. 😢 She is completely for abortion rights, even though she claims to know it's wrong. I told her as a Christian, it's about allowing murder of unborn children, that it's not the same as life saving medical procedures etc ..but she didn't care. 💔 So there's worse out there than celebrating Christmas, but it's something that bugs, especially when others act like THEY are in a cult where they have toguilt trip you for not participating. It's eerie. Much love from California!

@@amyk87Be careful with that "Christlike" thing...many new agers use that to pretend they are God. People who are given the Biblical truth and reject it for what is comfortable are luke warm/ cherry-picking Christians at best. And I don't say "Christian" with confidence in the context. I only try to be kind in the sense that only God knows what's truly in someone's heart. But we judge righteously by the fruit of the spirit and by their actions. As Christians we are called not to entertain people who refuse reason, if they are unreachable by us we must not waste our energy on them, and simply pray for them. But otherwise we are called to help one another by calling out their straying from the narrow path and to sharpen one another like iron. It's not loving to have the poor boundaries and ideology of "you do you" it's even the root of Satanism. That humans need to enjoy their free will to the point of doing whatever feels good. Hedonism. Indulgence. Christmas time/"holiday time" specifically is called the time of indulgence in many circles... Of people that actually celebrate it I'm not talking about amongst Christians or any other religious group specifically and. It's used as a joyful "teehee, I can eat like crap, and lose all self control this week because it's the holiday season!" ...how is that healthy? Doesn't that sound an awful lot like what a deceiver and adversary would love to tempt people with? Think about how the actual Biblical holy days are in autumn, and then Spring. Not winter. Yet "holidays" taking the name for holy days and twisting it... Many times for canonized saints even (Valentine's) when the Bible says saints are Christians. That was the first title of a Christian. Lol It meant Sanctified in Christ, as in saved and made new to do our best as sinners, to follow him. We are not to pray to other saints or worship etc. We use Reformation Day to learn about the Reformation period and Martin Luther, for example but we don't do much, it adds to our Bible study. Vs Sukkot or Yom Teruah when it's a big holy day celebration. To give some examples. If you're offended by "luke warm" I think that's saying something. 🙏Much love ❤

Heidi, I share your conviction. I work at a primary school, where the children is taught about Jesus, but unfortunately aswell as all the pagan rubbish. They are entertained with the father christmas, the easter bunny, the tooth mouse (not called fairy in South Africa) and the whole shebang . My problem started when a mother asked me, why I think children stop following Jesus, when they believe so strong as little children? It made me think and the Holy Spirit convicted me with the following. If we read Pinnochio (for example) to them, aswell as Noah and the ark or Jonah and the fish and all the Old Testament events, how do they know the one is just a fairy tail and the other is the complete truth of God. Then when they grow up and find out father christmas is not real, they start to doubt everything they were taught or read about or experienced. So why confuse them? We should rather be be honest and truthful from the start. I really regret the big christmas tree and everything that came with it. I wish I could go back and keep it truthful according to the Word of God. I got saved when my children was 4 and 6yrs old. I believe the Holy Spirit has guided me now on how to answer children at school, when they ask about father christmas. I will say, ask your parents to show you in the bible where is says Jesus was born on 25 December or where it says anything about christmas father (we do not call him Santa Clause). I tell them that I only believe what is written in the bible. This way it forces the parents , to search the Scriptures. Many parents are not Saints, just religion followers or they like the morals of Christianity ( not believers at all)and want it taught to there children, alongside all the other pagan traditions. One blessing is that South Africa is not big on Halloween and it is like a non-event here. Celebrating christmas will not cause you to loose your salvation (free gift of the Gospel ( 1 Cor 15: 1- 4), but why confuse others and especially our precious children.

I always try and speak truth in the comments section. So... the commenter made some very valid points. HOWEVER, it IS your KZitem channel, Heidi. It should reflect your life. But, you and this commenter are actually in agreement more than is obvious here. What matters 365 days of the year is: 🙏Where is your heart? Who/what do you worship? Who/what are you a slave to? 🙏Regardless of whether you full-on do Christmas or not at all or somewhere in the middle; regardless of whether you are surrounded by loved ones who celebrate the same way; regardless of whether you are completely alone in your conviction in serving ONLY the King of kings and Lord of lords, your heart and mind are what God sees. I say this as a wife who has a husband, adult kids, extended family who celebrate both acknowledging the birth of Christ and the presents/tree etc....God SEES my heart. My family sees my actions as different. We all have very unique situations to deal with this time of year that we can see as obstacles or opportunities. We all are accountable to God and God alone and He just wants our hearts.♥️🇨🇦

Heidi, I want to thank you for your videos on Christmas. Asking ourselves the questions is good and Biblical (I know for myself I want to emulate the Bereans and seek out what does the Bible say AND where is my heart's motive?). I am thankful for this and have incorporated asking myself "why" on many things that I do. I think we all need to remember our hearts are wicked and deceptive. When we have a strong reaction to such things as Christmas, it should be a clue to us that maybe we do need a heart "x-ray" under the light of scripture and listen to the Holy Spirit's guidance. I have told my family I think when we get involved in worldly customs we need to remember how the Israelites constantly walked away from God by observing the customs of those around them and those observances becoming more important than obeying and following what God clearly laid out for them. THANK YOU, beyond words for the wise words and challenge of looking at my heart on all practices of "tradition" that we participate in. I know for myself, I want to look and love like Christ. He is my model, not how I "feel" about such topics. I am reminded God's ways are NOT the world's ways.

I think what might bother some Christians who do choose to celebrate Christmas focused on celebrating the birth of Jesus and not commercialized garbage is this-I think a lot of your followers look up to you as a Christian role model. And I think maybe they can’t understand why, even if you view Christmas as a worldly celebration-why you wouldn’t choose to keep just the gathering and special celebration centered around Jesus. I think something that alot of Christians in this modern era are failing to understand is how important culture is. God made our frame a certain way. He made our hearts, minds, souls, and bodies to enjoy certain things. In the OT God instituted holidays to celebrate to remember God's goodness to His people. As western culture was established and grew throughout time, we created new holidays to reflect Christiandom. To make markers, Sabbaths, in our calendar to reflect on the life of Christ. As we have allowed the world to take over our culture, as we have made it more about nostalgia and good memories, instead of markers in the year to reflect on God's faithfulness to His people, we have given other our culture to secularism. We were a matured Christian people, a catechized people who knew exactly why we celebrated certain feasts. I don't think taking away culture and acting like culture doesn't matter is the answer. We need to be rebuilding a Christian culture within our families and churches. That doesn't mean it has to look exactly the way it did though.
