Just some additional information for those that are curious. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Yellow gold karats are usually a combination of copper and silver. White gold is alloyed with combination of silver and nickel or palladium. Rose gold is alloyed with copper and silver. Additionally pure gold is in many computer components chips etc. Thank you for the informative video.❤

Fantastic information! ...just a little fyi, respectfully, gold is used in many manufacturing products such as medical, electronics, etc., because of it's inherent properties. Some people collect electronic boards to recycle the gold and it takes a lot of work and boards to get enough to make it worthwhile. Lol.... love your videos and teaching skills! Thank you! ❤

I thought that it was silver, not gold, which has so many industrial uses. I may be wrong and thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Very interesting information on the agere. I had not heard of it. I'm definitely going to look into it. What is your opinion on Renaissance wax? Have you ever used it effectively? Thank you so much for sharing so many😊 helpful things!

Renaissance wax would rub off - whatever you wax on, can be waxed off! Costume jewellery manufacturers used to use jewellery varnish - much like a diluted floor varnish. They dip it and then swing the chain around to remove excess (don't do this at home cuz the factory had all sorts of spray marks). Once dried, they then crunch the chain to make it less stiff. Later they used a baked on process with E-Coat (it's like enamel) and lasts for a long time. However, neither of these are permanent.

I think sterling came from the British coins as British money was called Stirling

I believe you're correct - it certainly came from an English person.
