Does your iPad have to be connect to the internet for you to run the OBD app? Life for an example you have to be connected to the Wi-Fi on your iPad to run the KZitem app
@radieyevanov

No, not at all! The connection is a WiFi connection between the scanner and the iPad! Nothing to do with internet. It's just a WiFi connection to transfer information between the two devices.

No, you have to load up the app. Android vs ipad depends on which app you want to run. If you want to run torque pro app go with Android, if want OBD Fusion app go with ipad.

I went with the wifi version. I think the data transfer/communication is probably quicker with WiFi vs bluetooth. I didn't want any lag. Some lag will always happen but there may be more lag with the Bluetooth.

On the Z I'm honestly not sure...I don't think it has it. The app picks up available data dependent on the vehicle, so if the vehicle has a sensor to allow to read the transmission temp then it may come up as an option to monitor.

How many gauges can you have on your custom screen?
@radieyevanov
4 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't know that there is a limit. If you want a bunch you can always make them smaller sizes and have a ton on one screen. Or you can create multiple different dashboards focused on different things and swipe from one to another...can have one dashboard focused on temps for example (engine, intake, etc), can have another focused on fuel monitoring (mpg, fuel rate, dte) etc.
