The story about seeing footprints in the snow the next morning trying to look into the cabin windows was based on a true story. I just watch a mini explanation of it with more details from the kids point of view. After the father ran out with the shotgun everything was dead silent and they double checked to make sure everything was locked and they went to bed again but the father encouraged to yell for him again if they see or hear anything else. The boy and his cousin fell asleep on the couch that pulled out Into a bed and nothing else happened. But the next morning they noticed 2 different sets of footprints on each side of the window that they slept in front of, but somehow the predators didn't see them nor break in. And they never knew if they were caught or seen again.

Why do scary things always happen in the middle of nowhere
@minorshan
2 жыл бұрын
Because there's no witnesses and tend to involve antisocial types who like to live outside society for whatever reason. I truly find small towns far more dangerous than most big cities. Especially since all the same safety rules apply, but you're in a place with sparse possibilties of witnesses or a quick law enforcement or paramedic response times. And then the largely apathetic community, which seems to try to minimize many assault cases. Which I think is because they all seem to be in denial and say "It doesn't happen here."

the therapist story really hits home for me. some women can be the worst nightmare for any man. they live life carefree except for themselves, they dont care about others or what they do to them. as long as they ''score a win'' they dont care how they score it. true Narcissism is a scary thing to encounter, by the time you discover your dealing with a Narcissist its too late. if you are aware of the possibility, you can be armed that that could be what is going on, and that is the only defense.

@deanpesaturo6401 - What makes you think that, dear? Many / most of these stories (the ones labeled as "true") are taken from places like Reddit. And many, probably most, are true. The story sounds true. These things happen ALL the time. If you have any doubts, look up the stories of the over 190 men released from death row after they were proven.Innocent (NOT "not guilty") usually about 18 to 40 years after their convictions. You'll hear True Stories of police. Ignoring important leads, being incompetent and lazy, intentionally misleading witnesses (even threatening them), and planting evidence. Then you get to the prosecutors who intentionally try to ignore EXTREMELY important evidence, like the DNA evidence inside the victims who were raped and murdered. One idiot prosecutor (see the Uncle Clarence murder - one who was released from Death Row) tried to claim that someone else had sex with the two victims, then the accused came and killed one / attempted to kill the other. It was an absolutely preposterous claim. Sure . . . I'm sure the 5 year old and her grandmother went out for a wild night of having sex with strangers only to come home and be killed. Actually, only the grandmother was killed. The poor 5 year old was bashed in the head but lived (after being raped). The truth is far more disturbing than anything anybody's imagination can come up with.

I can't stand women who stay with a man who abuses and neglects his children, HER children. If he's not contributing to the household and he's abusive on top of it, there is absolutely no reason to keep him in the household. Hell, even if he does contribute, but he's abusive, figure a way out (family abuse shelters). It's very hard, but you have a responsibility to your children. My mom did it (but my dad wasn't abusive to us), even though she had no family (her own), and he didn't let her work when they were married. I know that my grandma (my dad's mom) helped us out from time to time.

He probably thought the guy didn’t hear him. Did he try saying, “No. I’m fine,” or shaking his head, or anything? Unless there was something lost in the translation. @2:30:14 - The story that starts here really creeped me out, and was well done storywise and the delivery of it. Recently I've been listening to these longer scary and horror/terror stories often at night while I sleep. This has been the single one that got under my skin recently, usually I don't remember them. At first I only heard the audio portion at the time. I just now saw the visuals from the story. IMO, it's a much more effective story just from the audio portion alone. Your milage may vary, as in you may feel differently. But ya, please try and listen to it with only the audio part at first. I honestly think you might find it just as effective, disturbing and unsettling as I did the other night.
