I had a stock Clevland 4v in my 1972 torino gt. At 30. Mph you could destroy a set of L 60 tires. Which i did often. Man i loved that car

I really like the neutral color of their hearing protection, blends so well with the skin it's almost as if they're not wearing any at all.

At the beginning we were working on dialing in the timing. But if you watch to the end you’ll see that we both put on hearing protection.

I added the engine specs to the description. The engine is for a Pantera, so the bellhousing bolts up to a ZF. Thanks

I'm hoping to show my 351CJ stroked to 426 cu. inch. 4.030 bore X 4.170 Stroke 8.70 compression motor soon. I used the 4V CJ heads. With manley heavy duty under cut valves. 2.19 intakes with only bowl matching, 1.71 exhaust with heavy porting. I used a small circle roller cam conversion from crane. Duration at .050 .220 in 230ex. Lift .589in .612ex. Shows you how long ago I started this project. I used the best of everything. The goal was to super charge it some day.

Are you planning on boosting it? Thought that may be why the low CR and special attention to the exhaust ports.

Yes, the plan was to break it in with a carb then aluminum build up pads on the manifold to switch to 5.0. SFI fuel injection. Then add a pro charger with or with out intercooler. My plans got side tracked indefinately due to unemployment. The motor is build and has run a few times. Broke in but timing and carb settings haven't been done yet. By timing I mean I haven't recurved the mechanical advance to match the motor. . The carb is another matter. Driving it is the only way to set that. Just don't have the money right now.

The crank kit was from Speed-O-Motive. They went under some years back. Tells you how long ago I started this project. The kit consist of a turned down 400M crank, (4.170 stroke), H beam rods, I opted for high silicon forge pistons because they are made closer to the size of cast piston so you don't get piston 'slap' when the engine is cold, but you don't have the expansion that pure forged has. I also used total seal second ring. They balanced the assembly. I added a street fluid damper, and a NHRA approved flywheel and had the whole assembly re-balanced to with in one gram. I believe you can get a similar kit from Probe Industry if they are still around. There are a few that still make them but they only go to 393 and 406 cubic in. I haven't got around to video taping it yet. I have pics buried somewhere. So it will be awhile because I'm been so busy lately caring for my elderly father.

My kit was rated to 700hp and 7000rpm by speed-o-motive. The Mains are turned down to the cleveland journal size, 351-400M are bigger. The rod journals are off set turned to small block chevy size of 2.00 inches to get the stroke. I worked at a engine machine shop for 2 years. From commercial to race engines. Never saw a broken or twisted cast crank shaft that didn't throw a rod piston end first. It was that lose rod end that jammed against something that caused the damage. Cast cranks are far stronger then anything you can throw at them. The H beam rod length and piston pin location on piston are custom. I don't remember the specs on those..sorry.

Sure would like to see the plans for the engine stand, where did you get the cable for the throttle??? or how did you make that??? Looks like 2 x 3 box tubing and some angle iron. I can do that no problem and the gauges rad and all. Just wonder about the throttle you made thanks.
