First of all, what a great work you did and second of all, everytime I see an animation about a character running on the rooftops and jumping always reminds me to the Vector game, what a great mobile game of parkour. I'll eventually try doing something like you did, cheers!! 👍👍

Hi , I just wanna know did you use any 3D object as a placeholder for animating the character or if not How did you get the timing right ? And also did you use Straight ahead animation ?
@Razor61011

I used a 3d box for the character. i animated box at the speed which the character was gonna run, thenn i added the camera and yes i used straight ahead.

What was the process you did? My guess is, you made the environment first - Used the camera - Used some placeholder for the character movement - And then grease pencil for the 2D aspects?

i used a 3d box for like a reference to animate the character in blender before drawing anything. so i can adjust the speed of the camera and the box which is the character. after i got it working well. i did the hand draw animation.

When it comes to animating like this or something like Attack on titan with the 3D Maneuver gear. I don't know how the process works. What order did you go in? Was it 3D background animation first then 2D animation? Or 2D animation first then 3D background? Sorry, I've been looking for something this specific for a while. And like to know how if I ever want to make a animation with this kind of method. And somehow merge them together, knowing what comes next. Especially with a program like Clip Studio Paint, which is what I use. As well as having blender, haven't use it yet but I plan too. Thank you
@Razor61011

For this one i did the 3d background first in blender, with a cube the size of the character moving at the same speed as the character. then after the 3d was done i went into clip studio and animated the character with the help of that cube for positioning and perspective. for you i would suggest story boarding or thumbnailing what you want to do so you have something to work with. I didnt use a storyboard cuz i am lazy.
