You did a great job. I like that you used different nozzles learning that it make your print thicker and stronger. Very impressive bravo

Those cell holders are very nice!! I think as long as you test your cells properly, let them sit for self-discharge testing, etc, you won't need to replace cells often, if at all. The hope is the packs all degrade at the same rate so you don't have to keep playing with them once built and in service.

Thank you!! Yes, I'm hoping that I won't have an issue. These are salvage unused cells, so besides a few cells testing low due to sitting discharged for too long, they're all testing at basically their brand new capacity (2137 is current average, and 2150 is rated capacity). If I was using salvaged cells from known bad packs, or using cells that were of questionable quality, I'd be more nervous.

I would love to do this same thing for my offgrid trailer setup. I almost have all 300 cells tested. My brother is doing the same and he has approximately 700 recovered cells. How do you like your CR-10?

He's enjoying it of course. We discuss designs and other 3D printing stuff on our discord channel a lot, including this design he made

Great inspiration, thank you very much. Any recommendation on which 3D printer to purchase?

Only one I've ever used is CR-10S, and I like it. There's a cheaper smaller variant Ender 3 which is getting good reviews, but YMMV. I think the Prusa i3 mk3 is a pretty reliable choice as well.

Are you using PLA ,ABS or PETG? PLA is much easier for me to print but I'm not sure if heat will be an issue?
@watsonexpedition7894

PLA. This is intended for Powerwall setup at like... 0.1C absolute max rate, so basically no heat.

will probably buy the ender 3, i have a design in mind for solderless, a little expensive design but will save you time and effort in the long run. Thanx for the video, it made new ideas come alive.

The STL probably wouldn't be that valuable, since it's tuned for my printer, nozzle, and cell configuration. On the off chance it is: watson.ws/share/Curvy%20Pack%20Holder%20v7%20NORMAL.gcode

It cost you 150 dollars because you were being wasteful and use expensive filament. If you just use a premade cad model from thingiverse and only print it once than you could get it done with a 17 dollar roll of amazon basics white pla.

Would you mind posting your recommended model from Thingiverse? My filament cost here was around $20 per roll. Do keep in mind there's 28 packs involved here, for a total of 56 prints, holding almost 4,000 18650's.

Gerard Jachymiak ? Sorry not sure what or who you’re referring to. This was definitely no product though lol. It’s just what worked best for me for my own packs.
