Hi, I am also thinking of modyfing the 100 extended version. I was thinking of doing it all in ASA because of the issue of heating motors and of making an enclosure in future. I Also think pla is the most rigid material, could ASA (aside the cost) be the same rigid as PLA?

Regular ASA is much less stiff than regular PLA, if you decide to go down that path you will have to print will very agressive infill/perimeter settings, and consider CF-ASA. The motors heating is the easiest to deal with as heatsinks with fans make them fine for PLA, enclosing is where the temp resistance is most important. The extended version will also be far more prone to flexing issues than the regular. It may be worth considering adding long cavities throughout the frame to embed M5 threaded rods to act as a kind of skeleton.
