I designed this KZitem logo / play button in Fusion360 and 3D printed it on the Bambu Lab X1C.
The red play button is printed in 2 parts: The back part has clips to hold a 12mm LED strip. The front fits onto the back and has a triangle cutout where the thin white triangle piece can be glued in. All these parts are mostly only 1 to 2 layers thick so that the max amount of light can pass through.
The little black base gets plugged into the bottom of the play button with some simple pins and is also printed in 2 parts so it can be filled with sand or coins to give it some weight and then glued close.
I put a zigbee controlled 2m long LED strip inside (and wrapped the excess around the inside because I didn't want to cut the LED strip). This is actually and RGBCW strip but for this play button it only really makes sense to use the white LEDs. This particular LED strip is USB powered and since it has a zigbee controller I added it to my Home Assistant controlled smart home and can now control on/off, brightness, color temp (and colors) from the Loupedeck Live on my desk! (I have videos here on the channel on how to control smart home devices with a Loupedeck if you are interested)
I think it came out great and glows nicely.
This LED lit KZitem play button will be featured in the background of future tutorials ;)
