lmfao I love how he still goes through the effort of putting teflon on the fittings as if he doesn't already know the thing is gonna leak like a mf

Put some “form a gasket” on the cover plate. Consider making molds for the lobes and make out of polyurethane or get them manufactured in nylon.

Nifty. What might be the differences in efficiencies between this sort of pump and a centrifugal one?

Use brass inserts with grease instead of those bearings and you will greatly reduce/eliminate the leaking

Are you also using your pumps and evaluating them in term of their longevity, maintanability etc ?? This is where a "good" pump separates from a "bad" one. Just like stuff you buy from china is good for like 2-3 uses, but then totally falls apart, and qualitity stuff sometimes lasts a (human) lifetime?

They are just prototipes I think. Building something for prolonged use is whole project on its own.

@@Vhargon Fusion360 (the software he made the pump with) is free to home users. An ender 3 3d printer is about $200 dollars. So if you have a table, $200 for a printer, $20 for filament and a computer to run f360 it's accessible to you.
