How do you "duplicate" a dinosaur?
Watch as technicians use a portable device to scan the Triceratops skeleton in the Fossil Gallery of the Canadian Museum of Nature. The 3D, computer-generated scans of each bone, including the skull, are highly accurate-down to a resolution of 0.1 mm. The scans will be used to create a model of the skeleton for display at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.
