I’ve had two cars tinted with 3M Crystalline 50% and you feel absolutely no heat through the windows on the hottest days. Absolutely the best and I am sure the Ceramic is not far behind. Just got a new Mazda 3 hatch premium and will be going 3M with that too. Excellent products.

The 3M Ceramic IR is far more popular than the crystalline.
@peterzarrella3299
2 жыл бұрын
@@allglasstinting it may be more popular but it is not as effective at blocking UV and heat as Crystalline is. You can also use a much lighter shade of Crystalline than most any other to achieve the same or better results. It’s more expensive but some would say worth it. I would be happy with either one as long as they are a 3M film.

@@allglasstinting thank you for the info. I'll be travelling across the u.s. in a 1999 Cadillac escalade and I want a really good (cuz I can't afford the best) window tint to fight the heat thus making the AC more effective.

I guess to me the question is how noticeable is 12 BTU's when comparing the two and if that price difference justifies it. Your experiment: 3M IR 30 is darker film as well compared to the Suntek CIR 20. Could be the difference? The VLT and the TSER are very close to each other tho. 3M does have better TSER #'s.
@fadedndrunk

3M IR30 is not darker. Higher the number, the lighter it is. Higher the number, means more light passes through, hence, why "limo tint" is usually 5% or lower.

Where do you live? Suntek Ceramic is a lot less to buy “as a dealer” than 3M ceramic. FX PM is almost the least expensive film for us to buy.
