Congratulations on getting heard, contacted, and also sent the reengineered part. Really says tons about the 3M company. I'll look at their product line in a whole new light. Oh and congrats on the box full of cool and useful goodies!

MRrwmac Thanks Mac! I was really taken back that they/he bothered to contact me in the first place. I agree fully, it does echo tons about the company. For him to contact me, and offer to send a solution to the problem I had, just fortifies how great the company really is- not to mention the man that made it happen! The box full of goodies was unexpected for sure! Good to hear from you Mac, G.

Wow G, that thing cuts beautifully...very impressive and definitely less wasteful. Thanks for the follow up review and thanks to 3M stepping up to the plate for our favorite reviewer!! Think we've all been fans of 3M products for years mainly because of their continued engineer for optimum use and durability. I remember when the white ALO2 paper came out...it was better than sliced bread...still is in my opinion but its only one small part of a fine line of products. Really glad they contacted you which gives mega credit to Large Company CS IMHO...had a rash of complaints for others recently and this is refreshing!! Till Then, ~PJ

pjsalchemy That it does PJ! I used it today and it worked great every time. LOL, thanks! It was really cool of them/him to contact me and make the offer. I agree with your statements regarding CS and large companies. All to often, there seems to be a huge disconnect from the top to the bottom. I would imagine most of the CS personnel get there cuffs put on a little too tight. Nobody seems to have any power to solve problems anymore- which is what CS is all about..lol. Take care, G.

Really good of them to respond to your earlier video like this, sounds like they actually care about their customers which unfortunately these days is so uncommon. Good on 3M. Btw, are you finished with your newly acquired house yet? Thanks again G. :-)

***** I agree Larry! It's too uncommon these days. For them to acknowledge a problem I (and others) had with a product, address it, and then contact me offering to send me the solution says tons about the company and their people! No, we're still working on the property. I hope to be finished soon, but the reality might be something different...lol. Take care, G.

+Eddie Eddie, according the the account manager that sent me the blade, they've only been released a few weeks ago. He said that Sherwin Williams should have them under their own number and gave it to me. I would contact them and give them this number to look up- 100485283. I don't know what they cost, but hope this helps. Good luck, G.

Does the roll holder help keep the tape rolling over the plastic by keeping the roll straighter? I think this is my issue.

When the blade gets dull, can the blade be changed or do you have to buy the who thing.
@ghostses

I had to go look at mine Jack. The blade is rivited onto the plastic piece that goes up in the bottom of the tube. It appears a whole new blade would need to be purchased since that's the case. Good luck, G.

Thanks Timothy. It works well. I have a video showing masking off a window using the original blade. I have masked rooms, but don't have any footage. Take care, G. kzitem.info/news/bejne/o4N_3nuobnqTpn4

Ask yourself this?..is 3m a world wide corporation?....do you think that 3m is pushing their products through you so that they can only reach a handful of people? Think not....you get free stuff ....3m makes big profits.....its always about the bottom line dont 4get that

ronsmurff10 I'm not an idiot and know how marketing and business works. I already said they told me I didn't need to bother to show any of the products- so that changes things a bit as this was not a marketing decision on their part. It was one dude helping out another dude because he could- that's all and no different than what I do. You were not part of the conversation, so you're really just speculating on being pimped. G.

Congrats on 3M recognizing you. And you deserve it. You aren't, "just a small guy who makes videos here and there." You give some of the most indepth and no-bullshit reviews out there. And your table-top format is very plain and very clear. Keep up the good work, many people appreciate it.

This blade is not out on the market yet....so this 3m ppl are gonna make tons of money out of your thumbs up on this review for this new product on the here and all you got is a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff out of it.....you getting pimped homey and its sad that they're gonna get away with it. ...
@ghostses

ronsmurff10 I don't see it that way, but yes they will make money off my review. I buy almost everything I review, so I guess I'm pimping myself out and the companies might end up making sales based on my reviews. I do my reviews for my viewers so they know what to expect for their money, not for the companies. If I get something sent to me that's great! I would've ended up buying this blade anyway, but free is much better for me...lol. What I didn't mention is 3M told me that I didn't need to bother, or feel obligated, to show the product. They were just solving a problem I had with the original blade. That was cool on their part! Take care, G.
