I recently got a 21 taco accesscab 4cyl auto 4wd. I just took it to uwharrie wolfsden on factory 245 all season definitely left a lot to desire. I was in between 265/75/16 and 255/85/16. Looks like you have a 4cyl as well? Is it an auto? was curious what size tire you have. What was the power loss/mpg feel you don’t see much info on a 2.7 appreciate your insight

I have toyo MT 255/85/16 load range E. Definitely heavy tires. I only use them for ure then bolt factory 265/75/16 Trd off-road wheels n tires. Mpg and power will suffer with 255s, if you go that route I’d use aluminum rims

@@Outdoors-ty8hp Thanks i wonder if the cooper would be a little less aggressive. I moved from NY to NC and still drive back 2-3x a year 2 sets of wheels is the way to go. Love seeing the 2.7 putting in work people don't realize its pretty capable off road. If you dont mind me asking what brand sliders are those. Also is that a factory TRD front skid? did it bolt right up?

@@nyrob2388 yes, it’s factory TRD pro skid. Bolts right in place. The sliders are RCI. Think they were around 750-800 after taxes and shipping. They were bare steel, so I primed and painted them myself which was like $200 cheaper than having them powder coat from rci. 2.7 is a capable engine with my documented cases of these engines going 400k+ miles. Ure is a cool place man. Just get some good off-road tires and some skids and you’ll start to see more of what you need the more you do it. You’ll be the judge, no one else. Everyone and their mother says you needs lockers and all this other crap. I’ve done every trail at ure minus the front side of Daniel , but I did do the backside. No lockers needed. Good tires and a winch for a backup.
