It's funny that 3xosc looks basic and most people likely gloss over it buuuut it really delivers because it makes designing sounds stupidly simple and using effects in patcher and such can make 3x osc like a modular synth powerhouse if you use it to your advantage

I've been sitting and watching this video for a while and I have to say this is such a fantastic video for people who are just getting started and maybe seem a little overwhelmed with serum or other bigger plug-ins. This is a great way to learn the basics. But even then this is also a great alternative if you want a quick route from point A to point B. I either way you earned a new fan. Ive had several label releases with just 3x osc as my synth for all my leads , basses and pads ...ive put it up against almost every major softsynth and it held its own . I own almost 30 softsynths and i still reach for 3xosc .

I've been noticing this trend where several producer channels are making tutorials on how to make basic synths with enough DSP.. I know I learned how to make some crazy reese bass from simple saws after watching one, so keep up the good job. Maybe I'll do some similar video myself some day..

Yeah, 3xosc is awesome and all, but Sytrus is better. Sytrus is literally serum but a stock plugin. You can do so much with sytrus.

The UI of Serum alone is worth it imo. No other subtractive synth I've used is nearly as intuitive and capable at creating very interesting and musical sounds and have it be "fun" to do so. That said, 3xOsc is a beast. Absolutely a capable workhorse synth in the box.

I knew 3xOsc was more powerful than people give it credit for (I've made some killer Reese basses with it, but those are easy) but I've always struggled to make good dubstep synths even with the big plugins. To know it can be done so easily right out of the box blows my mind.

I have seen videos of sending Ableton's Operator through Serum's effects. You may be able to do that with 3xosc too.
