Although I'd prefer a Horizon FD87 for mini superyacht style than the flybridge style at 80ft plus yachts. This has a typical great use if space for a Pearl 80. This the first non white pearl 80. I love the colour, and the galley being crew ready with a press of a button. Is there anyway to have a door to close of the helm and fally area. But when open it still flows lovely. Nice to be underway and the helm in the red lights, and guests can watch a film. Etc. I think Princess, Pearl and Sunseeker have a very similar look to them. Probably why I like all 3. In 18 months I've collected 2550ish walkthroughs in my private file on here. I still see something that blows me away,. I also enjoy coming across new (to me) manufactures. I've come to love the Trideck, The Trawler Yachts, and thanks to Vico power cats. My fav so far is the Silent 80. I like the angled cabin concept. This is a cool yacht. Although I'd prefer a mini trideck. But that's me. Its a lovely yacht.

I've been watching dozens and dozens of yacht touring videos and I have to say yours are by far the best. Light and funny but you also point out very practical things and tell us why a feature is so good to have. You cover the boat/ship from top to bottom in sequence and don't jump all over the place like other tour videos do. It gives you a much better mental view of the yacht's layout that way.

@@NautiStyles I learned to sail at the Orange Coast College Sailing Center in Newport Beach. This was 40-50 years ago. They had 2 big sloops donated, 47′ Saudade, and Scandalous (don't remember her length), last boat I remember was Alaskan Eagle. Roy Disney later donated his 86 foot yacht Pyewacket which was a record breaker. Your followers might find it interesting if you did a video or two on the OCC Sailing Center. Besides taking classes towards a degree I believe they still offer fee based classes for the public. They also have big powered boats to teach on. It's an even more amazing place today versus the '70s and '80s when I sailed out of there.

@animistchannel2983

First off, I have to agree with Victoria about the intention of the thing. It really says "owner-operator" in various subtle ways. The practical and leisure spaces are neatly interrelated in ways that suggest the people doing a lot of the work are the people it's being done for. The cross-linkage from salon to galley to bridge, for example. For a family, it looks like when traveling it's parents in the front, kids in the back, and that wall is as much to give the cook & pilot some peace and quiet from the antics in the main room as it is the other way around. They got a lot of mileage out of the extra beam they put on it. More floorspace and height while looking proportional, for sure. It also kept the draft under control, to the point it was hard to measure from inside. I suspect that floor-plan mileage is gonna come back out of the actual mileage, as it were, if you want to push it around fast. 15 liters per mile at cruising speed (25 knot)... is that a lot for an 80-footer? It sounds like a lot. Of course, everything in boats is about tradeoffs, and live-aboard models are going to be staying close to home or on-slip the vast majority of the time. "If there were somewhere better to be, we'd be there already." That said, they really packed a lot of features, and a lot of attention to detail, into every inch of the thing, and they did it without making anything seem cramped or industrial or like an afterthought. They gave you exactly the space you need for what you want to do, while still giving you plenty of room where you need it to get necessities done comfortably -- stairways, access points, hatches, storage spaces all looked generous and handy to deal with. That engine room, just overall! Again, it says "owner-operator" to me. That versatile, self-contained flybridge is brilliant, again suggesting the owners may be serving themselves and guests personally and don't want a million trips up and down the stairs every night. It's got a little of everything concentrated down from the rest of the boat, like a "mini-me" carried as a backpack. It even has room -- and apparently the structure -- to support a jacuzzi up there if you wanted to trade off some dance space for it. And yet... and yet... it's not a luxo-tub. If you don't mind spending a few gallons, 3600hp will make it get up and boogie at 35 knots along with the "sporty" boats on that planing hull. It's just lurking there, waiting for you to call upon it... so civilized in all its ways until you feel like turning it loose... then RAWR! Overall, this vessel reminds me of what Car & Driver Magazine said about the Mercedes-Benz S600 top model back in about 1993... "It's too much car for too much money." For someone with the starting capital, the ongoing income, and the skillset to play at that level, that's the sound of pleasure all around, and for every occasion :)
@NautiStyles

something people should know about these engines. not these in particular, but yacht engines in general. i say this because people are always bashing rich people because of their own carbon emissions. well, bigger the boat, the more likely it uses diesel. diesel is better for pollution than gasoline for various reasons, and more efficient, especially for bigger engines. also, some of the really big boats have literally zero emissions engines. zero. I'm talking about 10,000hp or more, and no emissions. lol. like, wow. but even the smaller ones, like these, are highly efficient, and might also even be zero emissions, i can't say, but, I'm sure Rico could chime in here if he likes. but, these really are truly incredible pieces of art, craftsmanship, and technology. i just don't understand why we don't have this technology on cars, or at least, pickup trucks.

I'm always amazed at the quality of the design and build of the interior of boats, it's comparable to high end cars but so much bigger. I begin to understand that some people sacrifice having a garden and grass all around as on a regular house, to go live on board. Different lifestyles but the quality and the comfort make up for some loss on space... and i think being in a marina is quite safe too. Are there thiefs going on board in the same proportions as we know on land? I doubt it. So i begin to see the bright side(s) of living on board.

Outside of crew, I wouldn't want others on my boat and could convert the extra cabins into hydroponic gardens.

Great tour you two! Lovely flow 😎 Try do a tour or two on electric solar powered boats like the Silent 55 and maybe someone who's converted an old 50 foot + liveaboard to electric motors ⚡

One hellacious yacht. Approaching Viking level. As an owner-operated, the crew quarters always come in handy for those friends that you like just a little less (LOL).

I think that the boating industry is a little behind basically every industry. There's so much hardcore traditionalism in the boating community that anything new that doesn't do it the way it's always been done has to struggle and fight to gain acceptance, despite its advantages. This is probably much more prevalent in the sailing community specifically. The high end yachts like this seem to have an easier time with it since most buyers want all of the newest gadgets. Also, hot damn, I bet it would squeak like hell trying to pull that boat out of there... Packed in like sardines! lol.

you have a point there... hence the major obsession with the “boat terms” 🤪🙈 like come on, bunk bed... Pullman berth... everyone knows what I’m talking about... even through that term does not even come from the boating world 😝

@@NautiStyles Yeah, getting upset over calling it a toilet rather than a head is a bit silly. Some things are definitely important (like, operations stuff... sheets, halyards, port/starbord, etc) but not everything HAS to sound like the 1700s, lol
