Not super impressed with KZitem just giving me a notification about this video now, Weeks later. Cheers Bud! Glad I was able to help out with this project. Def thought the video was right in line with your best work. Loved the yawn you left in, in the first scene.... Amazeballs!

The gods must favor you. I snapped just about every bolt and skinned 8 knuckles changing my springs out. Good point about the brake lines. I never thought about the front ones.

Just put a 3" Zone kit under mine I only had to drop the passenger control arm to replace the springs, on a 3" after you remove the passenger spring the new drivers slide right in (1st) and the passengers only takes a little persuasion from a pry bar. My big trouble were the rear front leaf bolts. Lord have mercy.

Those eye bolts on the leaf springs are notoriously difficult. Mine came off easy on my XJ (which was shocking) but on my MJ they were all seized in the bushings and broke. Fun stuff. Thanks for watching!

I know I'm late to the party but I have a 01 xj daily driver stock. Obviously its going to ride harder and the CG is way higher. How did you feel about over the highway driving after?

I have actually been really happy with the suspension on this. It's still holding up and still fairly stiff. It turns and handles better than it did on the old worn out factory stuff. No problems on the road.

Did you have any driveline vibration? And the only mod you made was a tease drop?
@spacerag
6 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yeah, all I really added was the 1 inch drop brackets on the tcase and I had no vibrations. Wasn't real well planned but it worked out for the time. Later I added longer shackles which changed my diff angle and did create some vibrations. I had to do some fiddling to get things right again. I have a couple of videos about that stuff if you're interested. Thanks for watching!

It was quite bad. Any real death wobble feels like the end of the world. Haha.

How many inches did u move that track bar bolt over
@spacerag
4 жыл бұрын
It was about an inch. With the track bar disconnected and the body and axles centered, you can kinda figure out if moving that mounting spot will benefit you and where it wants to sit. I hope that helps. Good luck!
