Fun fact: This song was originally intended to be sung about a man as "I Can't Help Falling In Love With Him". This is why the first and third line end in "in" and "sin" to rhyme with "him" rather than words rhyming with "you".

Lara I love your tutorials best ones out there. One thing that would be helpful for us newbies is to give the bpm I use a metronome to help keep tempo

Thanks so much Linda! I've started to include the bpm in tutorials so you'll find it in more recent lessons and song sheets. I'll be sure to include it going forward. I'm happy to hear that you're using a metronome, it's a great way to practice!

Thanks for the video Lara. Couple questions I also have the daily ukulele book and they have this piece in 4/4 time after watching your videos I like the 6/8 time better question “does each 2 beats in the book equal 6 beats for your counting?” I’m using a metronome question “are you doing about 90 bpm?” Thank you again.

Hi David, glad you like this version! Yes, I would say that 2 beats in 4/4 time would be equal to 6 beats of my counting. If we look at the first measure of "Wise Men", the 4/4 version would have a total of 4 beats and my version would have a total of 12. I actually see my counting as 12/8 time rather than 6/8, but either way the count is in multiples of 6 😉 I would set the metronome to 180 bpm if you want to hear all 6 beats, or to 60 bpm if you only want to hear beats 1 and 4 out of every 6 beats. Thanks so much for the questions!

How about a fun song from way back...I kind of like this one, kzitem.info/news/bejne/uZWqx2SQs5Skf4o by Larry Grayson, Remember him? Maybe in a George Formby style.

lovely. How many measures of AM and F ? Those r the 2 chords that I cant figure if I should place 1 or 2 measures . I get so confused. Grr thanks for the great picking patterns. It really helps

Thanks for the question! Using the first two lines of the song as an example...for the first line, Am is two measures (12 beats) and F is only one measure (6 beats). For line 2, Am and F are each played for one measure (6 beats). Glad you enjoyed the different patterns :)

I think you make it easier for a beginner to learn. You start out slow with the tempo and that helps a lot too. Thank you for being such a great teacher. 👍😍
