I believe that all people, regardless of their skin color, deserve to have an equal chance at life. To help support a historically repressed community, I have partnered with my videographer, Jay, to make a video on black-owned restaurants in New York City. This video is not a political statement, I simply am supporting the black community because they are most commonly subject to discrimination, systematic racism, and police brutality. In order to live in a more peaceful world, we need to respect all people. I have always loved different cultures and people, it is part of the reason why I love traveling. In my opinion, learning about different cultures and people is the best education you can get. I hope that you watch this video and try some of the food, it is fantastic! Sarah Hi this is Tim I'm not trying to force u to meet me. But maybe u can help me I'm from Texas and I'm moving to N.Y. area in July. I'm in search for Full-time work. I have gone through a lot of problems here in Texas trying to keep a job due to work place discrimination. Consequently this is why I'm unemployed right now. Do u know any hotels or Hostels in N.Y. that I would be able to stay for really cheap? Until I can afford my own apartment. I would really appreciate if u could help me Sarah? U seem like a very nice person. If u met me u would be able to see that I'm an easy going guy. I'm trying to start my life over fresh in a new place. Please could u give me some advice what to do when I come in July this yr?

All the food looks so delicious to me! I admit that you had me at eggnog waffles though! I see that a few people have already made this political when you tried to show your support for the Black community, one that meets death at the hands of police at a rate of about 2.5 times that of the white community. That's not even including the amount of abuse and overreaction to things as simple as jaywalking. The dynamic needs to finally change, NOW, not after things have fomented for yet another 20-25 years. You did include all restaurants by stating that they're all facing hard times right now. I laud you for your stance and using your channel to help in the best way you can. It was great to meet the man behind the camera, but who was doing the video with him sitting with you? I'm definitely subbing to his channel and thanks maybe not so much for making me hungry literally "at midnight"!

Hi Lukas, I believe you've missed the point of this episode. The black community historically has had a harder time than the white community in the USA. We made this to support them and elevate them.
@JAYEND
4 жыл бұрын
The German Diaspora I appreciate that and I don’t think you are. You’ve been respectful even though we disagree so much love. But the fruits of those past sins are still prominent and affecting my people. Idk how I can make you see that. The projects. Corporations that’s run America are mostly white. The government is bailing out white businesses that basically own the country. Police brutality. Being denied into schools on all levels. Being denied healthcare. Being denied moving into a “white neighborhood”, being sent to prison at an alarming rate for the same crimes and even smaller ones than whites commit. So I get what you’re saying and I sincerely don’t think and sincerely hope you don’t want this for anyone but if you don’t see how there is still much change and support needed in the black community then by all means just get out our way and let us continue to try and fight against these issues that you and I know still exist. Much love. Thank you.
