Ever wonder what would happen if you left your loaf to proof in the fridge for 4 days? 🫣
Time got away from me between work and the kids, and I completely forgot this was in the fridge 😅 The outside was so dry when I took it out so I think that's why the design cracked a bit! Once it was cooked though the texture was fine. If you like super sour bread, like me, then you'll love this one 😋
Loaf:
500g bread flour
375g water
50g active starter
9g salt
Bulk fermented 8 hours, cold proofed 4 days. Baked at 450°F for 40mins covered and 15mins uncovered.
