As many others here have said - I'm here because of who you are as a human being in all your layered, complex, amusing and very authentic and open-hearted glory. Bah! to the trolls. Also have my hoodie - it's great quality and I love it! Well done to Scotty on a gorgeous design. This is another great video Mattsy - walking, exploring, philosophy, meeting others on the trail to admire and learn from, all in a beautiful and rugged alpine region. And finally ... can't decide on the pink or white. They both fill me with a little joy actually. Soft fluffy sweet pillows of sugary goodness toasted on a campfire under a star laden sky is always going to be a good thing.

I agree with you 100% about being away from foot pads, tracks etc. I grew up wondering the bush as a kid and there's nothing more boring than following established tracks. To me , walking is a way of getting to a place to do something (fishing etc). I've never completely understood why people will walk through an area. If you walk from one place to another , your passing through. Taking time to have a fish or collect what mother nature provides is important for connection to land. 'Take only what you need and not what you want' .

Loved it as always mate. Great videos and amazing places. As for the Black Dog, Many of us fight it, myself included and that is why we head out into the bush camping, hiking, 4wding, fishing or what ever it might be. As for people talking about it, I feel it needs to be spoken about because it reminds us we are not alone and that in it's self helps us get through it. I feel you never cure it, you learn to fight it, to cope with it but it only takes something small for it to return like as you said being stuck inside for some reason. Your videos help me and others keep on top of our own black dog and that is partly why I do my videos too, to help me and to help others. Yanma Budyari Muragu Mittigar (Walk A Good Path Friend).

It's so sad there are people who put no effort into watching your videos who feel the need to criticise something that takes days for you to film, and just as many, if not more, to edit. They're your videos, so express whatever you want to express! I've personally had a lot of stress over the last few years, and just the last couple of months it's been catching up with me. I think part of the reason is I haven't been out myself exploring nature and taking my photos. I really appreciate following along with you to places I'll likely never get to myself, and one of the things I like the most is the authenticity of your journey. You talking about your reason for making videos has helped to remind me of what got me started making videos myself...a place I'll be getting back to. Thanks for the inspiration, and thanks for sharing the realities of life - it's never going to be all sunshine and lollipops, but time appreciating the beauty of nature, and time making real connections with people, is what makes all the difference. Hey Mattsy thanks for your honest and inspiring videos. Our family all love them! Marshies - the daughter (9) says "I like burning my marshmallows then eating the gooey inside. You should try it". The son (7) says "both. I like them both the same". The husband says "f*** the black dog. Go Easy ;)". I say I taught my daughter well on the marshies front, and, sending love to you Mattsy!

This is up there with one of the greatest comments I have received, thank you guys! I agree, I crisping up the outside and melting the inside is a good option. And true true, can’t complain either way with the colour choice I guess haha! And yep, the black dog is no good 😂😂 Thank you for your encouragement comment 🙌 I’ve got a couple of the best trips I’ve done in the edits right now. Should have one out next Sunday 🙌😄

Great video Mattsy and look forward to each new episode. Nature is the perfect antidote for mental health. I'm getting out into nature for ptsd and made a couple of very amateur videos out in nature doing therapy. It does help with stress and makes me ponder are we actually meant to exist all the time in a total man made world. Will have to try the offgrid wagyu bolognaise :)
