Quick note: read your quinoa label to see if it’s pre-rinsed. Quinoa has a bitter covering that needs to be rinsed off. Some quinoa is pre-rinsed, but some isn’t.

Plain Greek yogurt can also be used as a sub for sour cream. I love both, but use either, depending on my mood & the prices at the time. 😊 I plan to try the stroganoff recipe first. One of my faaaavorites! 👍

Easy way to mix a rouxe for this recipe and others is out the cornstarch or flour in a jar or plastic container and add Luke warm or tepid temperature liquid put the lid and shake the crap out of it. Fun job for kids who want to help You don't have to literally shake the crap out of it just shake it for about 30 seconds guaranteed to be lump free

After watching many of your videos and failing with mine, I finally read the label on my lid. I have a Duo Nova, which apparently doesn't have a sealing setting. Now that I've taken the time to learn how to use mine, I like it. I've stopped having problems with burned food at the bottom of my IP. Making mac n cheese using your method was a disaster. It was after that experience that I stopped and took a look on the lid and learned how to properly use it. My steel cut oats came out great, I make them in a stainless steel bowl just to be safe.

Never use bouillon powder as it contains MSG. Use the IP ahead of time to make beef, chicken, or vegetable stock and keep in the freeze until needed. Always sauté the garlic just before adding the liquid as soon as you smell the garlic.

Love your vids and have been looking into buying my first instant pot but am torn between the Duo Plus 9-in-1 3 qt or 6 qt. Single, living alone so am thinking the 3 qt is more than sufficient but wonder if it's better to buy the larger size since you can always cook less in a big pot but cannot cook more in a smaller pot.....right? 🤣 Still....storage is also an issue so I keep going back to the 3 qt. Any suggestions?
@OhWanya

Being honest take the 6qt!! I bought the 3 quart but soon regretted it when I realized that I only could fill 2/3 of the 3 quarts (safety reason since the pressure elevate the liquides height)… same for all the size. From what I found since I kept the 3 qt for yogourt making, they take the same surface on the table, only the hight change 😊 Still like the 3 quart; so cute, and it could work for you if you don’t really need 3 qt (2qt max inside). Foot note the air fryer accessories from instant pot is only compatible with instant pot duo 6qt

I was expecting the noodles to be added to the pot for the stroganoff. Is that a no no? Same question for the spaghetti.

My family does either one: sometimes we add the pasta directly into the sauce, other days we top our pasta on our own plates. Enjoy

You’d have to NOT add corn starch slurry ! ❤ you can always slightly under cook the pasta ; finishing them of on sauté mode and it’ll help reduce the sauce

Wondering if it would be possible for u to do a video w/o trying to sell us something multiple times per video? I’d like to just hear about the recipes w/o a link to the Rubbermaid container u use for produce or the olive oil we can get with ur discount code. If I wanted to watch commercials, I’d just watch TV. Thx!
