Hey Uncle Derek, did you know that there is a thing you can use that N64 Mouse for that you didn´t cover already? There is a ScummVM port to N64 that allows you to play a few PC Point & Click Adventures on real N64 Hardware via a Everdrive and it supports the N64 Mouse. If that isn´t a dumb, unnecessary way of playing such games, I don´t know what is.

Lol, dude, I just realised something hilarious. Lately I have started watching the recent videos on this channel, because I just got a random urge to play and research retro consoles. Then later I looked up what NES games I still have on my PC from the last time I played an emulator years ago and I noticed "Metal Storm". I couldn't remember where I knew the game from, but after a while figured out that it must have been from this bizarro alternative version of AVGN that I watched ages ago, the "Happy Video Game Nerd". I was wondering what that guy must be doing nowadays and then suddenly realised that these are the same channels! Congrats on keeping up the youtube game through all these years.

Man, the KZitem algorithm was really lacking behind with this one and your channel. Instantly subscribed, like, shared & rewinded. Crazy good channel and content. In the ever so improving KZitem sphere it’s easy to forget how good and well researched and presented these videos are and how big publishing firms and TV channels just can’t compete with this, no matter how hard they try. No hate, just pure love for this one ☝🏻 🎉 I purchased the steam deck two months ago and play a lot of retro 64bit era Games on it and ever since, I unintentionally stumble down the heartwarming and stunning KZitem retro 64 bit novelty gear & tech explanation rabbit hole. It’s just great! Thanks for this trip! ❤

54:59 I was at a Gaming Con (can't remember the name) and some wonderful person had set up 5 Gamecubes to play LoZ:4SA. 1 had the actual game disk in it, and the other 4 had Gameboy Players all with a copy of the game and hooked up to the 1st Gamecube via link cables. I can imagine the cables and TV nightmare to set it all up for 1 game, but man it was fun. I ended up playing through the whole game with some random strangers. Good times.

I can't praise _Ring Fit_ enough. At no point does it shame the player or speak inconsiderately. The first time I picked it up, I filled in a questionnaire (so it could guess what my level of endurance was). It *horrifically overestimated* how capable I was (after 15 minutes, my BPM was, like, 178, and I was puking up my fruit cordial). It took me about four days to recover, and when I turned it on again, the first thing it said was to the effect of "Yo, you looked like you were having trouble back there, and it took you a while to come back. But you _did_ come back, and that's awesome! How about we lower your difficulty?" Thanks, _Ring Fit._ I'm sorry I'm too chufty for you, but we just met, and I appreciate the consideration you're willing to put in. Get _Ring Fit._ It's really fun, and I've had so much more fun with it than the _Wii Fit_ series ever gave me. I'm *still* fat and I haven't picked up my Ring Con in months, but that's because my head is more broken than my body, and the early sunset of Winter screws me up hard.
@Noxedwin
9 ай бұрын
Oh. It also incentivises working in your spare time. The Ring Con can detect when you're just fiddling with it without the game. If you do reps with it while, like, watching the TV or something, it gives you coins that you can either give to yourself, or give to a friend as a form of encouragement. And on that note, the controller feels really good to use. It feels really sturdy. You're _not_ going to tear it apart, or smash your fingers together. This is one of the times where I would specifically discourage buying third-party shit (if unofficial Ring Cons exist).

So, when I was in my 20's and was proud that I finally was able to afford a Gameboy of any kind when I bought the OG GBA... I had a friend inbound to my duty station who came there from his previous Air Force Base.... In the middle of Japan with easy centralized accessibility to all the places one would love to visit... Including Tokyo... He had a GBA SP.... Which hadn't released in the US yet... The amount of salt I generated that day was so great that some high desert plains in Arizona became the Salt Flats of Arizona...

First thing I thought after seeing the spliced cable for the Chainsaw controller, and then the mouse N64 controller was... You could totally make a N64 mouse + N64 controller mash-up by solicing both of their cables together, but only using one of the connectors (that way, you'd have the N64 mouse's cable attached to somewhere in the middle of the N64 controller's cable). That way, you can hold the controller in one hand, and the mouse in another hand. The only issue is that since most people are right handed, and would prefer to use the mouse with their right hand... That means that if you need to use the a, b, or c buttons, you'd need to do some weird stuff, or do a custom controller all together.

Man....Gauntlet legends.. Spent so many sleepovers beating that game from start to finish with 4 players.. And then when Gauntlet Dark Legacy came out on PS2. It was the perfect sequel to legends... PERFECT.. Instead of fucking with the game mechanics or going some weird artistic direction with it.. They just took legends, added a bunch of characters, remastered all the levels to PS2 graphics.. And then added a SHIT TON of additional levels. Oh and kept the amazing music, but of course with greatly increased quality due to being a CD console.. Throw in the remixes of the legends songs for some of the dark legacy levels.. God that game was perfect.. It was a full blown remaster of legends, and a full blown sequel, all in one. The couch co-op of kings. I'm not even kidding. Sitting around playing dark legacy with my cousin is definitely in my top 5 childhood memories.. And I had a pretty damn good childhood. It's too bad life sucks a ponderous one these days... I may just dust off one of the many PS2s I accumulated over the years when friends tossed them cause of the infamous disc read error.. Open it up and clean the laser lens with a Q-tip and 91% isopropyl alcohol due to the aforementioned disc read error.. Invite my cousin over. Tell the better halfs to go have a ladies night out. And just pull an all nighter beating dark legacy from front to back. Desecrated Temple level music, both legends and dark legacy remix version, are still some of the best video game music ever made. Really gets you in the mood for the big finale battles that are coming up. Then you hit that boss battle and the desecrated temple (skorne) version plays.. And the gregorian chants from the actual temple level come in, and they're backwards.. And the damn song kicks in and it's a fuckin rockin faster version.. Good lord did we get pumped back in the day. Top 3 video game songs of all time: 3. gauntlet legends desecrated temple, 2. gauntlet dark legacy desecrated temple (temple), 1. gauntlet dark legacy desecrated temple (skorne). hahaha. The walltext of nostalgia has spoken! Lol
