The kingdom of God is not primarily a noun, meaning place or people. It is a verb, meaning God's way of interacting with creation. It is the act of God being King. The signs and wonders 'are' the Kingdom! Matt 10;7,8 In the life of Jesus we can see the kingdom in action. Matt 12;28. When it comes to the kingdom of God, scripture is referring to the overthrow of satan's work and God's active intervention in the lives of his people. Matt 4:23. The Kingdom of God has power to overthrough the rule of satan in this world. Praise be to God. Amen

May The LORD bless all that you put your hands to... And may it all be for His Glory and Honor in Christ Jesus's Name The Lord Jesus Christ has delivered me from drug addiction, homelessness, abusive relationships, evil spirits (yes they're real) , sexual immorality, swearing, lying, stealing, laziness.. and even more. I give all the glory to Him. All praise and worship belong to God. He is real. He is bigger than any problem you face. He will meet you where you are at. Even right now. (Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Currently I'm experiencing a demonic attack. But I am standing on The Word of God which says I have authority over devils and we are commanded by Christ Jesus to drive/cast them out. So I'm will continue to drive them out in The Name of Jesus Christ. Friends I implore you to do the same. The devil doesn't want us thinking it's real. We have authority over it! All of them. Keep strong in The Lord. Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of God The Father. I bless every reader of this comment in The Name of Jesus Christ

Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon God's Kingdom government will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5. No more wickedness on earth, Psalms 37:9-11; John 3:16. Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29. The righteous hearted meek ones will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalms 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22. The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11. There will only be one government over the earth, God's Kingdom government, Daniel 2:44. In order to receive everlasting life and the blessings that God has promised, we must worship the Father with spirit and truth, John 4:22-24; John 17:3; Isaiah 42:8! Soon Jesus will make sure that God's Will is done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10. Hallelujah!

Hi Tim love your lectures and your videos super insightful. I had a question about the end. Right after Jesus calls the disciples to “follow him” when he says they will “Fish men”. Isn’t that second part the churches job in building the kingdom? I.e. We are to become disciples Who make disciples. (Matthew 28). I totally agree with your warning against the social gospel those things should be just a natural outgrowth of being disciples. But isn’t the church supposed to be the one “institution” as Christ body to be the literal continuation of his ministry by making more disciples. And thereby we are an extension of his ministry and kingdom builders as his church. Of course it’s Jesus and the Holy Spirit who do the work and use us as vessels so maybe it is just semantics. Lol. But I just see the call to fish men as being Intercal with following Jesus. And it is kind of unpopular these days.

Thank you som much for your great teachings - I have a question: Jesus said, if we choose to follow him there are certain rules we must follow in order to live well and go to heaven. What happens to the ones who choose not to follow Him, but live a decent life, doing good, sin a "little" sometimes? None of us has chosen to be born into this life. And still we not only have to live a life full of struggle and sickness here but also risk to live even worse than this life forever in Hell....? I am so glad that I have chosen NOT to put more people/children into this world and these inhuman dilemmas on a daily basis for a whole lifetime... And what about the ones who never learn about God and The Bible and die? Sometimes I wish I hadnt heard anything about God or the Bible at all to live in happy ignorance like many people do... Sorry, I dont understand. Forgive me. And help me understand what I must understand. God bless you all.

Christina, with respect, some are chosen to be in the Body of Christ. This is a unique calling. The Lord's dealings with the billions of non-chosen will be carried out to everyone's complete satisfaction and praise to the Lord's unsearchable riches. 1 Timothy 4:10 "For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe." The purpose of Christ (the second or last Adam) is to undo and reverse the curse brought on by the first Adam. Humanity is the focal point of God's reconciling purposes in His Son; spiritual devils and walking devils will have their end in the Lake of Fire. Unless your family and friends are evil to the core, relax a little and trust in the overarching goodness of God's reconciling work towards His creation. I'm not a strict Universalist, but they have many things worth considering. Go to www.youtube.com/@FaithIgnitor for a look-see.

@puppymax7751

Our religion is not only dying because of all the atrocities in the past (and even today), but even more so because of all the division. According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, there are more than 200 Christian denominations in the U.S. alone and a staggering 45,000 globally (for comparison: there are only TWO Islam denominations in the world: Sunni and Shia). These denominations all believe their way of believing is the only right way. This is NOT what our Lord Jesus wanted and intended, He wanted/wants UNITY. The Apostle Paul already wrote about this. Every pastor, including pastor Tim, explains Scripture the way THEY perceive it. So... if we Christians want to survive it is of paramount importance that we get rid of this division.

WHAT JESUS MEANT BY SOME PEOPLE NOT ENTERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD (PSST…NOT HELL!) Most of the Jews of Jesus' day believed in an imminent Day of Judgment-- a large Citizenship Court Hearing, that a new king, called the Messiah, would conduct following his arrival to oust the Romans from Judea. For those Jews who had been faithful to God, the Jewish prophets promised citizenship in this coming kingdom--the new, independent, theocratic, Jewish government the Messiah would set up, beginning in Jerusalem and, from there, eventually, spreading to all the rest of the earth! To be clear, this "Kingdom of God," was not some pie in the sky, but a real, earthly government, with a lot of people working in many of the administrative positions, and all the perks that would go with them, like nice places to live! This new state of Israel was the "inheritance" God promised the Jewish people once they repented of their sins. But it was obvious, especially in Jesus' day, that not all the Jews were living according to what the Law of Moses and the Prophets said they should, but just doing whatever they could get away with under Roman rule, to live it up, even at the expense of their fellow Jews! These errant Jews were called "sinners," and the ones thought to be the worst sinners were the "publicans," those who collected taxes for Rome by defrauding their fellow Jews. The faithful Jews, however, believed the Messiah would grant citizenship in the new Jewish government only to the observant Jews, and the "sinners and publicans" would be exiled and regarded no better than all the other Gentiles, if not worse! Jesus of Nazareth spoke about this coming Citizenship Court Day, but he added another element to it--that many of those who were claiming to be the most righteous for all their outward piety would actually end up worse off than the "sinners and publicans"! He said they would not only fail to receive some of the really good jobs in the new government of the Messiah, but would not even get citizenship at all! In fact, he said the Messiah was going to look at all their phony good works as if they are just a bunch of dry sticks and have them (the fake good works, that is) all "burned up"! Then, they'd have to leave and, in effect, be thrown out into the "cold" of exile from the kingdom and, as they're leaving, they would be crying ("weeping") and their teeth would begin chattering, ("gnashing") from the metaphorical sense of "darkness" and "cold" they're going to feel when, in complete contrast to all their expectations, they'll end up being the LAST ones to ever get their citizenship! However, it's not that Jesus said anyone, not even the self-righteous, would NEVER get their "green card" in the coming kingdom of God. He did say the "sinners and publicans" would get theirs beforehand! But let's be clear, it's nuts to think Jesus' many warnings to the self-righteous and fake pious people of his day would result in, themselves, getting burned alive in some spirit world after they die! It was only due to a real misunderstand of Jesus' teachings about fake good works getting "burned up" by later Greco-Roman converts to Christianity who thought he meant to say the exiled would, themselves, get burned alive! Thing is, there are false preachers and teachers who are perpetuating this mistaken idea as if it were really true! The real question, though, is whether or not Jesus truly believed in the coming of a literal Jewish state run by a special king! It would appear that he did not! Sure, he spoke about the coming "Kingdom" in the terms most of his listeners would understand...but only to call out the religious hypocrisy he felt had run rampant in his day. Toward the end of his ministry, he began to openly say what HE considered the REAL "Kingdom of God" to be-- a "place" located only in the hearts and minds of PEOPLE (Luke 17:20-21)! Is this coming from an NHNE (New Heavens, New Earth) perspective? Mackie often uses mildly loaded language about God's reclamation of the world. While I know that the so-called thousand year reign of Christ (as yet to be realized in the future) is a lie, I'm not sure (yet) that a restoration of planet earth is in view as Christians' "heaven."

Sir/Maam, Kingdom of God (KOG) is not the same as Kingdom of Heaven (KOH). Notice the words "God" & "Heaven". God is a spirit Heaven is a place KOG - spiritual kingdom, its not meat or drink. you can not eat or touch it because its spiritual. KOG- spiritual kingdom, its righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost. KOG - spiritual kingdom, come not w/ observation. you can not see it. Because its within you. KOH - physical kingdom (Jesus kingdom on earth) many shall come from east & west (physical locations) & shall sit down (physical seats) w/ Abraham, & Isaac & Jacob (physical people) in the kingdom of heaven. KOH- physical kingdom is likened to a certain king sitting on a physical throne & physical servants. Jesus was telling a story about this "certain king" & the servant worshiped this king. Why would Jesus tell a story about worshipping a king? Because this king thats being worshipped is Jesus. Jesus was telling the story of His Future physical kingdom on earth. He will rule with a rod of iron. In this KOH if you don't forgive the trespass of others, the king wont forgive your trespasses. Sounds familiar? The "Lords Prayer". Yes, thy kingdom come. Which kingdom? His physical kingdom on earth, so that Gods will be done on earth & heaven. Physical kingdom on 2 places, up in heaven & down on earth. Mathew KOH is at hand, for a Jewish audience. Mark KOG is at hand, for gentile audience Both kingdoms are present & being offered. But Matthew used KOH because he's writting to a Jewish audience, because the Jews expect a PHYSICAL kingdom on earth aka KOH. Just look at the start of Matthew, its about Jewish ancestry of Jesus targeted for a Jewish reader. "Thy kingdom come" KOG is here now & its inside every born again believer. KOH coming soon. If youre not "born again" you can not see the KOG. Being "born-again" is not about physical birth, its spiritual birth. Can you "see" that the KOG is inside you after you got "born again". If being "born again" is a spiritual birth, therefore to "see" the KOG is not viewing it with your physical 2 eyes. Thanks

Who are following the same instructions that Jesus gave the first century Christians? How will you respond to the good news of the Kingdom? John 4:22-24; John 17:3; Isaiah 42:8. Do you believe God's Word? Do you have questions about God's Kingdom government or His purpose for the earth?
