The Seattle-ite is pronounced like "satellite". Great video. Awesome topic.

Reckon the Hustler 6 reminds me of a Lego car we all would have built as kids especially with the boxy looking body and those white wheels. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You forgot the Citroen CX estate, made in some numbers. Not designed for performance, more for cargo.

I always liked 6wheels🤔 there was the Tyrrell and the march in 1970s f1🤔 plus concepts and experimental car's since 🤔 cool and different is always good 👍 also been used in sci fi and military stuff 👍

You mentioned the fwd Hustler 6, based upon Mini underpinnings - possibly far more interesting was the Highlander. Again a six-wheeler but considerably bigger, this time sporting Jaguar running gear (double Jaguar IRS - although only the front pair of rear wheels was powered) and the 5.3 litre V12 up front…

I think the idea for the painter 6 came from thunderbirds FAB 1 Rolls-Royce 😄 which is a copy of the ford seattle-ite xxi, now that’s a good looking car!!

I don't think the Panther Six was light, despite its fibreglass body. It had a big chassis, Caddy 8.2 litre engine and a ton of creature comforts and accessories. Still one of my favourite cars of all time though.

Nor was it technically a mid-engined car, as most of the engine/gearbox was behind the rear-axle!

Wow! Never heard of the Covini. For all double front axle design I’d be tempted to say: Make mine pink. I’ve made some Very nice photoshop pictures of a Citroen XM with such a layout years ago but am too sound of mind to actually try it on the shoestring budgets I have to base my builds on. But one can always dream.

There were extended versions of the Citroën CX with six wheels, typically used to transport newspapers in bulk...

@@woongah As there where of the DS before it and even the XM after it. A film called Hollander transported papers with them so people in the Netherlands and Belgium had the latest copies of Le Soir and such. But they Allard double rear axles and where strictly mods. Seeing such red DS’ as a boy on holidays actually sparked my love for the DS and Citroen 😁

06:05 Obviously, the Hustler 6 had a bigger engine on some models. It looks as though it had a 1750 cc engine out of the Austin Maxi.

Reckon you're better off with all-wheel-drive with four wheels, instead of two wheels driven & four steering! My AWD Subaru Forester probably handles better than most of these monstrosities!
