my wife found a freedom task yesterday at goodwill for $21. i was miffed the bought an office chair because we have 3 perfectly good ones. she said she bought it because it looked almost new and of high quality. noticing that it did seem high quality, i looked it up. and nearly fainted when i saw that the same configuration has a list price of $2,000 and a 'buy it now' price of $1,500. but i think you can find one for around $1.000 if you look around. but still, that's an expensive chair. i have a broyhill we paid $200 for and its as comfortable. don't get me wrong, this is a great chair for $21. and i might pay $300 for it. but it aint no $1000 chair in my book. there's no way i'd pay $1,000 for a chair. i say that as i have 2 keyboards i paid over $600 for. as they say, "we all waste money. the only question is how?

The freedom low back is the best out there. The headrest sucks, and the low back is SO comfortable

My wife just upgraded from the humanscale liberty to the Herman Miller mirra 2, she said the liberty was very comfortably but the lack of adjustably was the killer, I had the liberty in my office before and I'd have to agree with her on that

Mirra 2 is a solid chair, only 2nd to the Aeron imo.

I can't cope with the hard back rest on the Mirra 2. We should have done a swap 😅

I find the remark about Liberty arm rests a bit weird without adjustable arm rests my Amia has 49.5 cm width in the center of the arms while Liberty is more like 48 - 48.5, so I actually find Liberty more useful if we compare 2 chairs without adjustable arm rests Liberty has quite thick, not too firm, not too soft (like Contesa) arm pads, they are very well rounded, though it seems that these pads can break badly sometimes Amia gets a lot of praise in reviews including arm rests, while Liberty got OK score... weird, but I guess that is for the version with 4D adjustable arm rests. Still I am really surprised somebody may find Amia pads superior to Humanscale. Compared to Liberty I find lumbar support weird in Amia, it is hit or miss, it is there or not, like in Contessa Okamura, I feel much more support in Liberty without any lumbar support, its just the mesh design and the shape I guess. Actually Amia arm pads are similar to Contessa also, slightly "hollow", not that much rounded, recline is meh, not bad, not good, nothing special, it may feel more normal than Liberty, but it is less "rocking" to me. Anyway, reclining on Liberty is weird, not that much useful, no headrest, it is noisy, it would be better if the arms were adjustable (though as said, I think these pads are very nice, round, so it is not that much needed), and it is massively overpriced

Freedom chair is perfect for those that naturally keep their neck forward. For more stocky people freedom might be annoying at the neck

Despite how elegant the Liberty‘s design is, it’s severely lack behind in reliability and durability, based on my personal experience, particularly the flimsy seat structure is not withstanding fault use and cracks in the black outer sheath and the cream white inner lay below foam.

We actually have Humanscale Diffrient World chairs in our office, I didn't really pay attention to the brand until I was searching for a high end office chair. I feel like they're fairly comfortable, but the price tag is definitely not worth it. Besides, there's no way I'm going into the office, when I can just work from home sitting on my Aeron. 😎

I love my Aeron and have seriously been considering giving the Humanscale Freedom a try. After all, that thing looks like it's right out of a spaceship! That said, after watching this, I reckon I should stick with OG :-) Keep up with the awesome videos folks!

Human scale chairs are definitely not worth the price. They don't have a synchrotilt and not comfortable to learn back.
