Which one is better? Strengthening or stretching piriformis muscle. ? I have done a lot of streching exercises but nothing decrease my symptoms.. Just increase my range of motion..

The thing i worry about is that like yourself and others including me. Work out go gym etc and still suffer from this. Once u have it all you can do is just relax and not exert yourself too much to flare it up

Great video!Hello, please, after starting exercises, how long does it take to see an increase in muscular resistance to an exercise? not necessarily muscle mass but strength 🙏

It depends on the frequency of the exercises. If you exercise 3-4 times a week you should expect to feel stronger after 2-3 weeks. Rest time is when you recover and allow your body to grow. As long as you are challenging the muscle to get stronger, it's only a matter of a couple of weeks to feel a difference.

I don't like the sitting stretch. Sitting makes it worse by compression of the muscel. I had worsen it to hell pain just by sleeping on the back.

You can skip it. This was just to test for piriformis tightness. But you always want to be careful not to overstretch the piriformis. I prefer to just stick to the massage ball release to be honest.

@@CoachSofia After suffering from 2 weeks of abnormal pain from massaging in this area i'm very cautious with that.

@@CoachSofia I think the TFL is the key to the pain. Last years i've suffered from left piriformis pain and by coincidence i've found out, that a standing left side hip strech to a wall was dissolving my pain. Unfortunately the same strech to the right side triggered a right side piriformis syndrome 1 year later.

I definitely have the issue of my right foot going outward when i stand. Got the foot moving outward when i squat too. The internal rotation of my hip on the left side is easier. Doing it on my right feels tighter on the hip when i flex on that side. Sitting stretch aches more my left hip, but is easier to do then my right. I feel I can't stretch comfortably on my right hip.

Good observations! Isn't it more enlightening when you test for muscle imbalances and see what needs to be addressed? I have corrective exercise plans for each imbalance in my program piriformis control here: www.coachsofiafitness.com/piriformis-control/
