Personally LOVE the look of six prongs, I think four prongs make round diamonds look a little square-ish.

Would love to see a video comparing how different profile/height types look from the side (with specific height dimensions) 💕

When I owned my Jewelry Store I always recommended 4 prongs. The diamond has more room to shine and it is safe and secure. Unless there was a visible inclusion on pavilion which a prong can cover.

It makes the round look squarer though. But I can see your point of seeing more of the stone at top and side profile. I can’t decide 😬😬

@@helenalovelock1030 It shouldn't look square if done right. I never understood the mountings from 1920's thru 1940's where they set a round diamond deep in a square box! There was no way for light to enhance stone from underneath and the square was chunky. But like the Halo it was a trend.

It looks square regardless. 6 makes it more secure and looks more symmetrical.

@@ByBonnieJewelry it’s stunning. What would a little diamond look like on the side of each of the 6 prongs? Not a full diamond basket just one towards the top of the prong on the side ? ❤️

would six prong (compared to four prong) get in the way of stacking with a wedding band so you end up with less choices there?

Great question! The answer would be no since the prongs do not stick out much. -Team By Bonnie

Can we see two tone rings paired with different bands? I am still u sure of what type of band would look best with my two tone solitaire. Btw, it’s been months now since I picked up my ring and I still stare at it everyday!! Thanks Bonnie!! 😍

Hi Bonnie! What about the thickness of the prongs? Can they be too thin? For a round 6 prong ring for example.
