For removing decals, Heat gun and plastic putty knife helps a ton

It does. Even doing it outside in a sunny day, you can still pull it with your fingers. But, if the decal has been there for years, and then you suddenly decide to remove it, you’ll still see the “ghost” effect on the paint. Cleaning and polishing don’t always fixes it. It’s a risk since the clear coat wasn’t wore out evenly when it covered by a decal. The paint that was covered looks newer than the rest of the paint panel

I had an 06 rsx that had the clear coat failure like that. It lived in south Florida its whole life. lol. Seems like most early 2000’s Japanese cars were bad about this.

Brother you need to get small pump sprayers. You don't want tendonitis. Work smart not hard.
