Found your channel by accident looking for videos on practical ways to use Quanta. Then saw this ADSR Sample Manager video, felt like I was the only advocate for this plugin, such an amazing tool! Now have your videos for Neutron 3 and VocalSynth 2 lined up to watch; all plugins that I use - you've great taste! Anyway, your videos are great man; very well presented, and the time-stamps are very much appreciated. Keep up the great work and I hope to see your channel continue to grow.

One last question, Either I'm doing something wrong, or the ADSR doesn't analyze or take Midi files? I noticed I just got that Unison midi chord pack, and I can't seem to find it. Also, should I consider rescanning for "Key's", as in keynotes? I see the keynotes for drums and loops, but not for midi data? What's a good search or tag to do to see my midi data, I mean I still can operate it of course in my Daw, just wondering why Im not seeing it when I use it as a plugin or stand-alone. Thanks again
@ThisIsOnesto
3 жыл бұрын
The reason why the MIDI files aren't showing up in ADSR is because it doesn't analyze and take MIDI files. Which is definitely a weakness of this sample manager. However, I have a feeling that ADSR will introduce MIDI files soon because they sell a lot of MIDI on their website. Sorry about that confusion, but here's hoping that MIDI will get integrated in ADSR Sample Manager

do you have to sign in in order to use the stand-alone? Im signed in on the web, but It doesn't seem to sign me in in the sampler. Also, what does it mean when the exclamation point is yellow and says, analysis paused. Great video.
@ThisIsOnesto
3 жыл бұрын
Hey! You don't have to be signed in to use it in stand alone mode, or as a plugin. Signing in only allows you to purchase or access purchased samples from ADSR. I'm not entirely sure about the exclamation point. If the analysis is paused, maybe there's something prevent it from finishing the analyzing. There should be a circle with an arrow that you can try clicking or some other button to click to continue analyzing. If that doesn't work I would close the sample manager and restart it. I really hope that helps.

Help my adsr says 24,587 audio files, paused, It's like it's stuck, or do I have too many plugins? Not sure if I should uninstall and try again. Also, I have a lot of sample packs, but I don't see them in the sampler. Will I find them more so in the tags, or do I unzip each file then add them to the sampler? Thanks
@ThisIsOnesto
3 жыл бұрын
Hey, let me try to help answer some questions. If ADSR is paused then I do not think it is because you have too many plugins. I would make sure that your samples are unzipped folders rather than ZIP files. When adding your samples, click "Add library" which is close to the top left corner. Once you do that, you can select the folder on your own computer or hard drive where you keep all your samples. Then click "open" from there the sample manager should start to analyze and automatically tag all your samples. If you're still having trouble, I would uninstall and reinstall it. And if you're still have trouble after that, I would try to contact ADSR directly. Hopefully you don't have to do that, but in my experience the ADSR team is really quick and friendly.

@@mandit38 , yeah it's a great plugin, it really opened up the way I use samples, hope it does the same for you. And I never tried dragging from stand alone. I mainly use it as a plugin.

One last question I've noticed a lot of my drums in adsr doesn't show which key their in. I don't remember seeing the key for 808's either. Does that mean ads doesn't know how to separate key variations between a drum, snare, or 808, bs, a melody, loop, or progression. Should I create tags for the key value for my drums?
@ThisIsOnesto
3 жыл бұрын
@@mandit38 Happy to answer your questions man. Let's see, in my experience only some of my drum samples have the key tag too. I'm not sure if ADSR is analyzing the sample itself, or the sample name to figure out the key, bpm, etc. But I think it does a good, although not perfect, job tagging the keys of my samples. For the most part, enough of my samples are tagged up really well. For my samples where a lot of those tags weren't assigned, I only create tags for them if they are samples that I'm interested in using in the future. Otherwise I would be stuck tagging my samples 24/7. About 2 weeks ago ADSR commented on my video saying that we could be expecting an update to the plugin soon. So hopefully the plugin gets even better at analyzing our samples.

Is there a reason why some of my sample are shorten by adsr sample manager ?
@ThisIsOnesto
7 ай бұрын
That’s a good question. I have not run into that issue. The first thing I would check is making sure the sample end point is all the way at the end of the sample, and hasn’t been moved up. Another thing I would try is loading up a test folder with a few samples to see if the problem keeps happening. Besides that, I’m not sure why. I wish I could help more!
