Thank you for the advice! 😊 The cat is actually a local stray that I've been feeding, so it's not technically mine. I did think she was just well-fed, but you might be right about her being pregnant! I'd love to get a nice cardboard box and look after the kittens, but since I have to fly back to the UK for 1-2 weeks every now and then, I'd feel terrible about leaving them behind. Hopefully, she’ll have a safe spot for her little ones! 🐱

As for wasps, they can be dangerous to humans. If you are allergic, the bite could cause anaphylactic shock and you need urgent medical assistance. Here, in Portugal, all municipalities have a team that is responsible for removing them, if requested. Contact your local municipality.

Thank you for the advice, Laura! 😊 From what I've researched, they appear to be European paper wasps, and the nest looks like a typical paper wasp nest. I'm not massively concerned at the moment since it's a small nest, and there are several other empty nests of similar size around the property. It makes me wonder if they might just move on over time. I’ll definitely keep an eye on it though, especially after hearing about the potential dangers. Thanks again for your helpful tip!

I hate mosquitoes 🦟 I cut a juicy onion and apply the juice by rubbing the freshly cut onion in circles to where the mosquitos got you. Reapply later. If you got bitten but didn’t have time to do it then then place a freshly cut piece of onion and rub a few times till the swelling goes down. Another thing that helps in 30 minutes is to get a cotton swab and apply Clorox and gently place on bitten area for 30-40 seconds and repeat in 5 minutes just a dab no need to hold it for 30-40 seconds, and the bite will disappear in about half an hour. Do not apply on your face, it will burn but the onion juice is safe you could do the onion for your face.

Hello from Perth Western Australia. Once the rubbish had been removed from inside the property, it's obvious that you have a very nice house to renovate. At least you weren't left with old car bodies and general junk to deal with outside. What do you intend to do with that round room? Sandblast it back to brick? What about those outdated bathroom tiles from the 60s? Retile or spray them with a tile product to cover up the pattern?

Hello all the way from Perth, Western Australia! 😊 Yes, once the rubbish was cleared out, the potential of the house really started to shine through. The round room, which I call the tower, is going to be a fantastic feature-I’m planning to install a spiral staircase that will lead up to the roof, which I’ll be transforming into a large terrace with stunning views over the countryside. Obrigado, Claudio!
@claudioboaretto
