Actually, I’ve noticed that I’m comfortable now with the sound of my voice after having created several voice recordings of myself talking about philosophical ideas that I spend entertaining in my mind with my inner monologue. I figured: I already talk to myself in my mind, why not just talk aloud about it? And thus, I’ve indirectly accustomed myself to my own voice. That’s accidentally hitting two birds with one stone!

@jack jack Sliding in here; having the confidence to speak in public without fear is different from knowing they can speak in public without fear. I assume they haven't tested it yet, hence the former choice of words. As for OP knowing they can speak well, I assume they came to this conclusion through the 2-month compilation of videos they took of themselves per the instruction of the short. To elucidate further, they likely tweaked their outward self-presentation every day to the point they removed what they deem embarrassing tics. As for me, supposing OP meant his comment, congratulations from an internet stranger! I'm glad you now have the confidence for public speaking.

This video is so short but it can make a big improvement in your speaking skill. I know it because I attended to quite many public speaking courses. And most of them told me video-record myself speaking, take notes and improve. You guys should bookmark or somehow download this short to your phone and computer. Trust me. It's enough for you to get started and move ahead.

I started an educational youtube channel where i sat down and explained complex concepts in my field of expertise. I inadvertently went through this process and realized how much i absolutely *sucked* at public speaking. 18 months and 30+ videos later, I'm wayyy more comfortable with speaking, and editing my own face and voice. I know that feeling, I was scared and ashamed that my family might judge me... but I talked to them that I will be trying this new thing that will help me become better. (You can even use the excuse that it's for a important presentation) so they will understand. If you live on your own, well you have the full freedom to do anything and everything so go for it and don't think too much. No matter your situation, listen to your inner needs in life and follow the path of your own choosing. Friends and family may come and go in life, but the only one who stays with you for always, Is You. So be kind towards yourself like a good friend and do the things that you think will be good for your own future. I wish you best of lucks in life Kathy!😊🍀

@@Ahmad-os3si Heya! Sure, I'm not an expert but I'll help ya the best I can. First it's to just throw shame away. It's easier if you find a day where you are alone home. Just dance and sing even if you don't know how, it's just for fun and for yourself to let go of all the pressure in your body. Film yourself doing weird voices or pretend to be your favorite character, be as exegerated possible! This helps you be more comfortable doing normal stuff like carrying a conversation in a video. Then follow what the guy said in this short. Make a video of yourself speaking about random stuff or your favorite topics. Only listen to your voice and then only look at yourself in your video and see what you can improve. Then the next video talk about what you could improve more in your body language and speech patterns and directly practice that. Then make another video speaking about the same topic you picked, but this time you are able to do it better. Repeat speaking about that topic until you are satisfied and move on to the next topic you want to speak about. You can do it standing, sitting or just any weird position. The most important thing is not to think about it like a school lesson, but more like a super fun learning experience you've done for yourself. Your future self will thank you!

These video recordings are powerful enough to make our voice and enhance our senses (listen, view and voice) to the best. I felt that I was speaking bad but later i realised I was not aware of how I was speaking everyday, that's the key. I was wrongly assumed I was speaking low or bad instead of no idea how I was speaking, sound look like, body language etc. Aware of how i am speaking to everyone is a main part in improving the ' how ' part of speaking better in everyday terms. These techniques can help. I am still trying. Let's see in future.
