He changed my workouts completely, I am at very good shape in my late 40s 172-175, with better Core, more athletic at 5'9, doing 30 min of his circuits a day, plus walk , vs bulky muscle look 187-190 of my 30s, 1.5 hrs heavy lifting and + extensive cardio . Tx Funk!!

Excellent presentation. I'll definitely switch up my macros to 20p/40/40f split and give that a shot. I'd always used 35p/35/30f (thought I needed to bump up protein intake to compensate for age and possible muscle loss)..but I've noticed I'm still softer and still lost muscle. You hit the nail on the head about HIIT past 40. I've stayed injured on/off the past 3 years (now42) using my old workouts and HIIT. The 20 - 30 minute workout is perfect

@@zephorianvephorian777 Hey, well basically, days/weeks after posting this, Australia went into lockdown and we have pretty much been in it since then! So for the first 9 months, it was ubereats and booze! However, the past few months, I have religously been working out and dieting and it is goign incredibly well. This is a great video, especially about testosterone. Carbs and quality fat are essential and adjusting workouts to incorporate more explosive and fast movements are key. I have taken up kick boxing which has chnaged everything.

@@zephorianvephorian777 BTW re: metabolism, I eat regularly with smaller meals that has helped but it has DEFINITELY slowed down. I have to make sure I recored everything and if I have a few drinks one night a week or a pizza, I have to seriously adjust the days after or account for it on the day. It's sad, but a fact of llife. I'm not 20 anymore.

I’m not a fitness expert, but I am an expert on me. If I workout with weights or maybe run too much, my appetite increases too much and I pig out. However, if I just stick to walking and maybe some push-ups, I can control my diet and lose weight.

Have a question what happens if someone has injuries that prevent them from doing certain things? For example when someone reaches 4040 when you start to notice parts on your body hurt in place they never had before like for example I have bad this in my back bad knee so I’ll sit ups crunches that stuff is that I can’t set up off of a hard surface my back won’t allow it doesn’t work that way and some people have this problem or let’s say someone has bad shoulders and they can’t do rapid fluent movements like quickly what would you suggest what would you suggest for those who don’t have the ability to do things like everyone else while a lot A lot of people do you have the ability to do these things there’s a lot out there who don’t admit it did actually have physical problems that limit what kind of movements they can make and what they can do what kind of work out with someone suggest for that person someone who wants to get in shape but has physical limitations on what they can do to get in shape to lose that belly fat it’s very hard to lose belly fat what all you can do is walk and run when you can’t do the sit ups or the obliques or a lot of other things no one talks about what you can do when you have these other problems and a lot of people over 40 have these problems they’re just not willing to admit it. So I would love to see a video and hear suggestions on what those with back injuries like fused disc bulging discs deteriorating disc nerve damage sciatic nerve damage need damage from Cartlidge and things a lot of people in the military have a lot of these things shoulder damage from Cartlidge torn muscles and tendons that were repaired but never quite repaired right what kind of workout would you suggest for them over 48 wanted to lose weight and build muscle I understand it’s a very specific question but a lot of people who have injuries don’t want to ask these kids they don’t want to admit that they can’t do certain things I look forward to seeing a video from you about this or hearing back from anyone about it I’d be interested to hear doctors will not give you a workout routine they just tell you don’t do this they don’t tell you what you can do they don’t try to help you show you what you can do this is something people with injuries know when they have to try to figure out on their own and it be nice if someone put out a video saying look if you got back injuries do this instead if you got leggings raise try doing this to build your legs if you got Shoulder injuries try doing this to build your arms different things cause different injuries in different parts of the body it would be nice if someone put out the video I said look you’re over 40 and you may be hurt but I don’t mean you’re doomed here’s some hope here’s what you can do it’s just my opinion I can speak firsthand because I have knee injuries back injuries and shoulder injuries and I can’t do a sit up off the floor my back won’t do it the pain is so bad it takes my breath away and it can never be fixed and I’d like to get my belly going I look forward to it

Hey Hope all is well...thanks so much and I love home dumbbells workouts. Especially cause you can get a total body workout 3X per week - you can definitely do an upper body one day and lower body next and then rest for sure - try it out and let me know if it works for you - Funk
