@@moimoi2682 True, but I've never broken glass fiber reinforced nylon (reinforced blue trimmer cord). It prints incredibly well at 265⁰C. I see a lot of videos where nylon parts delaminate but that only happens because the printer isn't printing hot enough. I would highly recommend trying it. Try regular round blue cord first then you can try various other reinforced trimmer cords. Reinforced cord will wear out and clog nozzles and destroy drive gears but the end result is amazingly tempature stable and durable.

But you do forget that 3d printing is a 'nested hobby' (separate hobby in a hobby (in a hobby)):P Ex. I've started with FPV drones, then buying a 'decent/cheap' 3d printer to print some parts, ended up with tweaking the printer every now and then and printing stuff i don't need- it can be blurring your focus. I would say: 'Kevin, find someone who loves 3d printing and make him stop printing useless... stuff'' :D

Very creative kev! That blue plug on the revo trans is for the opti-drive system. Opti-drive is just a safety system to keep the trans from being shifted from fwd to rev n visa versa while the truck is moving. That blue plug is the sensor to tell the opti-drive the truck has stopped n will let it shift fwd/rev. I took the opti out of my revo 3.3. The opti is also a failsafe

Pretty sure the cable coming out of the transmission is a lock out for reverse, it wont let you engage reverse unless the transmission has stopped spinning. The steering set up needs to be like a lot of the 1/14th Semi truck's and also like the HPI Wheelie king you just need to mount the servo on the left hand side of the chassis and the short rod that used to steer off the servo needs to be extended back to where ever you mount the servo so the dervo becomes a push pull set up.
@Pascal_Robert--Rc_Creations

Nick you are right, you need to connect it to the optidrive module for it all to work properly (in theory) unless if you want to bang-shift it in reverse...

That blue plug is an optical sensor and it plugs into a module called 'Optidrive'. It's connected with your throttle servo and reverse channel also. The Optidrive prevents shifting from a forward gear while moving into reverse (and vice versa) so you don't strip your gears. It's not required for the gear changes to work though.

For the steering kev use a half shaft/ drive shaft similar to the one on that crawler, the u joint would give you some much needed adjustment, then use a bearing and weld/ jb weld that to the underside of the engine’s mounting plate, allowing the drive shaft from the server to be held firmly in one spot

With a 4 stroke, you can easily build a full exhaust system that exits at the rear like a full sized car, keeping the oil mess off the chassis. You can do it with a 2 stroke, but it changes the exhaust tuning, so way easier with a 4 stroke.

turn the servo 90 deg to the right and use an arm instead of trying to put a shaft straight out of it then you can run a link up front to an A bracket to the tie rods, like cantilever suspension turned on its side. really cool build bring this back to life! how was the engine on temp from running it with so little air cooling from speed?
