When I clicked on hi video, I had no idea how it would touch my heart. After 27 years of a faithful marriage, my husband had an affair. It ended our marriage and destroyed our beautiful family. It has been two years since I found out. I have often thought of going to visit this woman or write her a letter because I want her see what she helped destroy. She only used him and did not want a relationship once she saw the financial settlement. I hold him 100 % responsible because he broke a vow to me. I admire your decision not to read letter to your followers. I also agree with it. I pray daily to find it in my heart to forgive both of them.

I've been living by the 4 agreements for around 15 years. Life goes so much better now. About the letter, my ex's woman, he had an affair with, sent me all the love letters, cards, emails he sent to her while with me. It hurt me so deeply. I think that you made the right decision. It made me think of my own life...the time that I learned of my late husband's infidelity. It made me wonder about that woman. Was she ever sorry for the pain that she caused me? What if she would have written a similar letter. Would I want it read aloud? No, it would just cause more pain. I have moved on and I have let those feeling go. I have forgiven my late husband and her. She no longer has any power over me. I am free!

The woman who wrote that letter was mean. Nothing was to be gained from contacting her lover’s wife, nothing was to be gained by returning her lover’s belongings to his wife. You showed compassion for both those women. My mom's best friend had an affair with my dad and they married. I actually have relationship all these years and I'm 54, with my stepmom 1) because my mom who is 76 now chose to be the classiest woman I know and let me make my own choices without interjecting her hurt and pain as I was growing up and with so much grace 2) because Jesus is our Lord and Savior ,my mom forgave her privately but without having restored relationship but still forgiving her and being such a sweet example to me. Now, as a grown woman, who also loves Jesus, I want to demonstrate the same forgiveness that my mom modeled and represented of her trust and love in Jesus as opportunities arise. My stepmom and dad carry a heavy burden because of those choices. This story seems to have touched and been relatable and painful for many but you demonstrated grace and compassion to both these woman and I think it was a good decision! blessings!

Well as you know I was one of the people on Facebook that supported you reading the letter if you wanted to, but after hearing you talk about it tonight on your video I have to agree that you are completely right and handled it perfectly. There was more than one person involved that could be hurt and then even though it’s been a long time and it’s unlikely they would see it you still have to be able to sleep at night and I think you made the best decision you could regarding that letter . It was respectful and kind . I will definitely think differently about this sort of thing going forward. Wow another couple Cheri Blum pictures ! It makes me sad that her creativity was stolen from her with the commercialization of her art and I have to admit a few of the pieces I have are probably the commercialized versions. I really loved the first picture you showed of the birds so much I looked it up on eBay and found one and I’m watching it! It’s a fairly small print, but I’m considering it because I really like that picture! The frame on eBay is nowhere as beautiful though as the frame you got with yours, that is really the only reason I’m holding back, the frame is very plain on the one listed. Thank you for introducing us to this beautiful art by this new artist I had never heard of. I will definitely look into his work! I cannot get over all the beautiful things that you find in the thrift stores where you are. We just do not find those kind of things here in the Dallas Texas area. My husband and I dream of when he retires of getting a motorhome and traveling and actually going to other parts of the country to the thrift stores and seeing what we can find both for ourselves and to resell because there’s just not much good stuff where we are. I enjoy watching you shop so much, it is so fun to see all the beautiful things that you find!😁

Suzanne, you are amazing to me! You feel deeply and think deeply-no wonder you are a songwriter-you are extraordinary! You are a treasure! Yes, I will be back weekly. I am going to go back to your first videos so I can know you better. You are teaching me so much-especially how to be more authentic, more kind to myself, more willing to acknowledge and appreciate the beauty around me and the beauty I can create in my own world. You are bold and blessed, and a blessing to those who are lucky enough to be in your world.

I completely agree with your decision to not share the letter. I think those who said that it's public property are wrong. It's very private. To me, forgiveness is for ourselves, not for the other person. I think that most people don't even know, or will admit, that they even need to be forgiven. It took me years to understand that. And I am much better for it. I read the book "The Four Agreements" years ago but I wasn't ready for its message. I need to read it again, I think.

@@kiwiang983 Don Miguel Ruiz Don Miguel Ruiz , MD is the international bestselling author of The Four Agreements (a The New York Times bestseller for over 7 years , which recently topped Amazon’s #1 list after his appearance on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday), The Mastery of Love, The Voice of Knowledge, and The Fifth Agreement (co-written with his son don Jose) . His simple yet profound teachings, based in truth, shared through his books, lectures, and journeys to sacred sites has helped millions of people worldwide transform their lives. Our exclusive interview with Don Miguel can be found here. Don Miguel Ruiz was born into a humble family with ancient traditions in rural Mexico, the youngest of 13 children. He considers himself very lucky, as this was where he learned from an early age that everything is possible, if we really want it. His parents, Don Jose and Dona Sarita, as well as his grandfather, Don Leonardo, all believed that Miguel would continue their legacy in the centuries old Toltec tradition. Instead Don Miguel attended medical school, and became a surgeon. For several years he practiced neurosurgery with his brothers, and he realized that what needed to be healed was not only the physical brain, but the human mind as well. A near fatal car accident changed the direction of Don Miguel’s life. He experienced himself as pure awareness outside of the constraints of his physical body. He realized that the Toltec wisdom of his family contained all of the tools needed to change the human mind. Don Miguel promptly returned to his mother to finish his training and he became a Shaman. Don Miguel moved to the United States to share his wisdom, and spent the next 15 years exploring ways to heal and change the human mind. He witnessed his students struggling to quiet their minds and sought to create tools to assist them. The result of this quest was The Four Agreements®. This book contains a specific series of practical steps, that when used by anyone, can result in consistent and long-term personal transformation. In February of 2002, Don Miguel suffered a near-fatal heart attack. The damage from the heart attack and subsequent coma left him with a heart functioning at only 16% of capacity and in constant pain. Don Miguel would not accept his doctor’s prognosis that he would be restricted to an inactive life of resting at home. He personally embodied the message he shares, by continuing to joyfully live his life, sharing his message through books, lectures and journeys. Though he was enjoying life he also knew that he was slowly dying and focused on preparing his sons to carry on his legacy. In 2009 Don Miguel’s body began to deteriorate much more rapidly and he applied for a heart transplant. In August 2010 he was put on the transplant waiting list. On October 9th 2010, Don Miguel successfully received a heart transplant. For Don Miguel this is a new beginning and with deep gratitude and generosity he is eager to share his message with all of humanity. In the tradition of the Toltec, a Nagual (shaman) guides an individual to personal freedom. After exploring the human mind from a Toltec as well as scientific perspective, Don Miguel has combined old wisdom with modern insights and created a new message for all mankind, based in truth and common sense. He has dedicated his life to sharing this new message through practical concepts that promote transformation. His message is simple and when implemented, even incrementally, changes lives. Don Miguel is highly respected throughout the world. He has received numerous recognitions, including a US Air Force challenge coin engraved with The Four Agreements, and he is referenced as a National Heirloom of Mexico. The Four Agreements®, published in 1997; was a New York Times bestseller for more than 7 years and the 36th bestselling book of the decade. Other books have followed; The Mastery of Love, The Voice of Knowledge, Prayers, Beyond Fear and The Fifth Agreement, a collaboration with his son Don Jose. All of his books are international bestsellers. For more information, visit: miguelruiz.com

You do such wonderful things with your thrift store finds. I moved to Mexico and got rid of so many of my little treasures. Thrift stores in this area are not like they are in the U.S.! Almost everything is pretty much worn out by the time it makes it to the thrift store. I hadn't really realized that the consumer mentality in the US was so reflected in what is in the thrift stores. People buy stuff they neither want nor need and then give it away. That just doesn't seem to happen here. People don't buy much and they use it up and wear it out. Good lesson in how to value what we have, but I am so glad I brought some of the things that mean the most to me. And I'm going to be making some things rather than buying. About the letter, it really isn't about forgiveness, you are right...and I am glad you didn't read it. We don't know if the husband left the lover and this is her revenge on him. Or, it could be she broke it off and this is her way of assuaging her guilt. I hope it wasn't sent. No good comes from that. The wife probably knew, but lent a blind eye to the affair. It is a story that has gone on thousands of times throughout the ages. Best to just throw it out or burn it with a prayer for all of them. Too much pain, hurt, anger, and guilt.

@@LittlePoet I wonder…letter is type written? Perhaps? This other woman had composed it for herself? Then never sent it? Just folded it up, and put it in the book? She may have composed it, for her own peace of mind? Because he ended it? After giving herself for ten years to this man and finally realizing…in ten years nothing changed… He would not leave his wife. That what they had? Was all that it would ever be. Nothing more…

Thank you for not sharing that letter, it was not meant for the public and like you said , maybe it was never sent. Infidelity is such a painful and personal hurt, no sense to risk hurting someone unintentionally just for our curiosity. The Four Agreements is a life changing book. I read it years ago when Oprah featured it in her bookclub. It makes perfect sense and can change your life. I keep it on my nightstand and gave copies to my children. Always do your best, don't make assumptions, Be impeccable with your word, Don't take anything personally. Put these into practice and you will be a new person.

I would have never read that letter to anyone else. It was meant to be private, so I would keep it that way. Maybe she was angry to have invested ten years of her life to that man, but in the end he chose the wife instead of her, and she couldn’t stand that, so she wrote it to hurt the wife and get back at the husband. I think if you read it, you might be a party to that, unwittingly, and that doesn’t sound like something you would ever want to do.
