Great advice. I agree that borrowing from friends or family is not a great idea.

To go along with getting it in writing, I feel it's worth paying a lawyer a few hundred bucks to handle that contract for you. Get any signatures notarized, which is fairly inexpensive. This prevents any later disputes about the validity of the contract. I would also figure in the cost for a property survey. Both myself and a friend have had property line disputes which a professional survey made work in our favor. Don't skimp on the cost of protecting yourself.

@@TheBackwoodsHermit Great advice. Doing the work and paying a little on the front end can save you a huge expensive headache on the back end. Helps you sleep better knowing the law is on your side.

It's an impossibility to by land in England. I live in the biggest county in England. The biggest landowner is the Duke of Northumberland. His ancestors came over in 1066 AD, and still own the land. Even many house pay him ground rent. Perhaps a revolution might be a good idea. love the videos.

@@robert-yv2yjOne thing I would hate is owning a house but still having to pay rent for the land. That’s a common thing with mobile homes here in the US; some people buy a mobile home (like a single-wide or double-wide) and put it in a community in which you still have to pay rent. I suppose every country has pros and cons regarding the legality of land ownership (or lack thereof) that each person has to recon with.
