"Only perfect things come from nothing" WELL, THAT'S SOME DEEP THEOLOGY OVER THERE
@osamaelfasi8377

We as Muslims, as many Christians believe that the creator was always there. In other words, he is the first. This necessitates that the creator did not come from nothing, as this would implicate that he is a necessarily dependent on the so-called nothing. Given that he almighty is the originator of all that it existes, this indicates that all the existing beings were in fact the things that came from nothing, not the creator subhanahu wa ta'ala. Having said that, the only one who has got the right to be worshiped is the creator alone. Therefore, any distinctively defined being, or person, that began to exist at a certain point of time is by default a creation and not someone should be referred to as eternal or diety based on the condition stated above. Allah knows best

Why ISLAM??? For a religion or any ideology to be true it must be 1.Mathematically consistent 2. Scientifically consistent 3. Philosophically consistent Therefore consistently accurate ((Truth)) 1. How is Islam mathematically consistent? Answer: The fundamental belief in Islam is ((The ONENESS ☝️ of Allaahh) Mathematically that is 1=1 1 is 1 Not 3 like Trinity (1=3) Or Atheism (1=0) Or other ideologies (1=X) Or Satanism (0=1) Therefore only Islam is mathematically consistent ☑️ 2. How is Islam scientifically consistent? Answer: Quran talks about many Scientific Facts e.g Embryology, Big Bang, quarks, photons etc... But mainly it talks about an ancient house(structure) Known as The kaba and Allaahh commands the Muslims to orbit around it ((( وليطوفوا بالبيت العتيق )))22:29 Atomic structure=Kaba NEUTRON = kaba ELECTRON=people orbiting for purification from negativity(sins) PROTONS= people in prostration facing it Mentioned in a Hadith(narration) of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him: A person is closest to Allaahh in the state of Sajidah(prostration) Thefore in complete positive MoDE(proton effect) And so scientifically consistent throughout history from generation to generation till today Muslims perform Hajj. 3.How is it philosophically consistent?? Answer: Science and philosophy or any other ideology Fails to answer The Question (How can something some from Nothing???) a scientific impossibility The fundamental CREED taught by all the Prophets Adam, Noah, Abraham,Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them All) was لا اله الا الله There is No GOD (worthy of worship) except Allaahh -translation) PROPHET Muhammad peace be upon Him said who ever testifies his faith in this he Will enter the Heaven (To the effect) Now Word for Word In Depth Analysis لا=Nothing(both are negations) اله=(who’s partnership is Impossible Therefore worthy of worship) الا=Except الله=Allaahh “Nothing is impossible except for Allaahh having a partner” So.. Anything is possible for Allaahh ((والله علي كل شئ قدير) This is the answer to the scientific impossibility Further ANALYSIS.. “Nothing” is either 1. Impossible 2. Misplacement of something 3. A value of something (0) If 2.(misplacement of something then it could be anything especially 💀 DEATH Except Allaahh) Because If Death was in it’s place we would all be dead (Everything would seize to exist) 0 multiplied by anything =0 But Death is an inevitable REALITY (Can’t be NOTHING) & Since Allaahh is (The Infinitely INDEPENDENT (((1))) He is above and beyond Time, Space And MaTTER 1/0 is impossible (check your calculator) Result will always be 1 (Infinitely (undefined independent 1) Now if 3. (Value of something) It is The DEVIL 👿 SataN was rejected by Allaahh So has NO value or worth (👁🗨)zero Since everything has a common denominator of 1 Satan is also a being that exists 0/1=0 Therefore Satan can’t Be Nothing rather is something. Who is worth nothing.(mathematically 0) and it serves a Purpose therefore exists. So we can conclude with confidence that without the 1 everything is 0 but with the 1 nothing is 0. And since everything exists therefore the existence of nothing is impossible.

rehecked Hahahhahha🤣😂 “manifestation” is the key word The problem isn’t (1) thing manifesting in 3 different ways/forms or persons as in Christianity The problem is why just 3???? If the point is “manifestation” My ignorance compared to God’s wisdom isn’t only limited to 3 distinct manifestations of the terms “Math”, “science” & “philosophy” but rather each term consists of further sub categories and like ... Math: can be further divided into Algebra,functions, calculus and vectors, geometry etc.. Science: Could be further divided into Biology, chemistry, Physics,Ecology, Oceanology, Geology, Metrology, zoology, Botony etc.... Philosophy: Could be further divided into Epistemology, Logic, Metaphysics, Ethics, Aesthetics, Political Philosophy Not only is my ignorance infinite ♾ with regards to the 3 distinct categories like math,science and philosophy but within the categories. And the main problem is that there aren only these 3 categories but rather there are even more like Polotics /History/linguistics/Rligions/Wisdom etc.. So they don’t remain 3 in any way shape or form. Where did 3 come from??? Also as a human being ignorance isn’t the only train 🚞 (and I mean train as an anology with each cabin carrying the baggage that comes with my ignorance) I carry I have many more traits/trains that I share with you as a human. Like Greed, selfishness,Arrogance, other weaknesses... So why 3??? The problem in Christianity is Trinity which consists of the idea of (3) Why 3???? THAT is the inconsistency Simply put there isn’t only one train in the world neither is one cabin called a train. 🚂 🚞 🚞 🚞 🚞 1 distinct train but doesn’t consist of only 3 cabins (Your term manifestation doesn’t work here anymore) 🚊 🚂 🚞 (3 distinct trains) But aren’t the only 3 distinct trains that exist 😎😁

Wow, this is actually deeper and more coherent than it appears at the surface. This is going to be the longest and the deepest analysis I have ever made on the statements of a four-year-old, but this is well deserved. I think Lana's biggest problem is not the reasoning (which is mostly sound), but the vocabulary, so I will interpret her charitably. It is clear that by "coming from nothing" she means, in her language, "not having an external cause", rather than "starting to exist". For example, houses and play-doh "come from" people and the materials (i.e. people and wood are the primary external causes of houses), but not from God (who is a secondary cause). At the end of the video, she clarified that she did not mean that "God started". So when she says "God came from nothing", she really says "God has no external cause". This is true! Then for arguing that "God is real" she constructs a cosmological argument ("where did people come from?", "But then there would even be no ground!"). Very nice. Then she makes a claim "Only perfect beings come from nothing (have no external cause)". This is the only hole in the reasoning. I can see two possible interpretations of what she meant by "perfection". 1. If "perfection" means "being maximally great" (in her language "everywhere"), then this is a too strong claim (proof lacking). However, if we grant it, then the rest of the argument from the "Two God's objection" is sensible: If the ground came from nothing "then the ground would also have to be perfect, like God" and it can't, because "God was already there" and "He is everywhere" (in professional terms, God's maximal greatness leaves no room for there to be another God). 2. If "perfection" means "being necessary", then her statement "only perfect things come from nothing (have no external cause)" is trivially true, but then the "two God's objection" cannot be employed, because we have said nothing about the limitlessness of necessary objects. The proposition "2+2=4" is perfect (necessary), but so is "3+3=6" and their coexistence is not a contradiction. But apart from that one unsubstantiated claim, I think most of the reasoning is surprisingly sound when interpreted charitably. Truly remarkable!

Here's some questions I would be interested in hearing answers to: 1. In studying ancient South American culture's religious practices, I always thought the sacrifice of animals and humans to be tragic and useless. What is the difference about Christianity's animal and human sacrifices? Exactly how does blood sacrifice work? Why would a God of Love demand blood and death? 2. How is there a way to view Predestination that speaks to a God of Love? It makes sense if God is Evil. Would you predestine "some" of your children to Hell? 3. Why dinosaurs? Have you ever actually thought of this, the fact that dinosaurs ruled our planet for 200 million years? Our species is just some 200,000 years old. We almost certainly wouldn't even exist if the KT Asteroid hadn't wiped out all non avian dinosaurs 65 million years ago so that a small mammal could give rise to us. Is this fact better explained by natural forces and luck, or God works in mysterious ways? 4. We are an evolved species, no question. Evolution is quite possibly biology's strongest explainable and demonstrable of facts. If Adam and Eve are a myth, could God also be a myth? Why is evolution so vehemently reviled by ministers and in light of the Bible? Thanks

@@zach2980 Actually I have read the bible, But your comment doesn’t address the point at issue. Your suggestion was that *Christianity * practised animal and human sacrifice comparable to that of the Aztec’s that isn’t true. Pointing out that the religious practice of the Jews prior to the time of Christ involved animal sacrifice doesn’t show that Christianity “practised” animal sacrifice. Similarly pointing out that one human sacrifice is recorded from a period from over thousand years before Christianity ( in book whose purpose is to put on display Israel’s errors and mistakes) doesn’t show *Christianity* practised human and animal sacrifice. Nor does the fact that Christians argue that Christs death functions like an atonining sacrifice ( just as they use other metaphors like “ransoming”) means Christianity “practises” human or animal sacrifice or ever has practised this. To suggest these examples, suggest that Christianity practised human sacrifice comparable to the Aztecs is to make a whopping non sequitur. It’s simply false that Christianity has ever in its liturgical practices endorsed human and animal sacrifice, let alone done so anything like the Aztecs did. Your comparison is clearly historically ill informed. Can you show me an example in the liturgical practices from the 1s century till today where human or animal sacrifice was considered a normative or acceptable practice? @@EragonAnimator Was Yahweh different than Jesus? Did the God of the Jews change from the Old to New Testament? If you consider the Trinity to make sense, then every time Yahweh commanded animal/human sacrifice, you can use the name Jesus commanded, and it would be valid right? Did Yahweh/Jesus not tell Jepthah to sacrifice the first thing that came out of his door? Did God stave his hand like that of Issac? So Yahweh/Jesus sacrificing his son/himself to himself is just defined differently as a ransom? Who accepted the ransom? Who's idea was this predestined plan? Nope, I disagree, it's the ultimate clean human sacrifice, it's the ultimate clean scapegoat, driven out of town and sacrificed. And speaks to the barbaric origins of Christianity. The "Fitrah" claim is nothing but an attempt at ridding yourself of the burden of proof. It is also circular. _I know that god exists because god has created me with an intuitive knowledge that god exists._ The existence of god has to be first established before any claims of you being created by god with such an intuition is entertained. So it is circular reasoning 101. It also exploits certain human psychological loopholes like the power of suggestion and the bias for one's preheld beliefs. How convenient is it for anyone to declare any beliefs she has as innate/fitri knowledge and anyone who disagrees with her is declared to have a corrupt _Fitrah_ and accussed of following his desires.

@Anonymous Person I disagree, the comparison of an atheist/christian philosopher isn't really comparable. If it were an atheist philosopher and the child was making absolute knowledge claims like there is no god, then that might start to equate, although this position comports with reality. Was she born with biblical knowledge? I haven't found that children are born with a god belief, but my experience is low in first hand experience. I do think we look for explanations for things, however supernatural causes haven't been shown to be the cause for anything yet. Being an atheist is not a knowledge claim, it's simply a lack of belief in gods. I feel my initial comparison might better show you how a non believer sees this. AP, how would you feel in that scenario, that of an Imam? Please read further in this comment section to what Thomas Cocks has written, he elaborates better than I have here.

@Anonymous Person The bible hasn't met the burden of proof, it doesn't comport with reality, that's my point. Yes if the child was saying god is a fairy tale, especially the god in which the majority of contemporary people believe in, that might be problematic. But what would you call Thor? I'll happily embrace that there's more than the universe if there's evidence to support it, or the christian hell I'm told I'll end up in. If this father and daughter were born in the middle east, they would most likely be discussing Allah, albeit just as sincerely.

@Anonymous Person Reread my comments, my point is about making assertions about things and facts we don't really know. If the atheist parent tells their children that there are no gods, then that would be comparable, and not recommended. My original comment was how you would feel if someone of another religion that I assume you believe is false and the corresponding believed results. As another example, imagine she was claiming that white people are god's chosen race, or that her classmates of another religion are going to hell. Again, not backed with evidence. I'm not interested in dictating parental practices. However discussion and viewing things from different points of view is usually a good thing to do.

@Anonymous Person Atheism is not a knowledge claim. To say that atheism is false makes no sense. It's a lack of belief in gods. Ask yourself of your beliefs, what do you know to be true and what do you pretend to know to be true. Then of those there's probably a range of evidences for each which should comport with your confidence in the belief. You've again missed my point. And it's probably in large part to how atheism is preached on by popular culture/ministers/bible. I don't doubt you in your beliefs, I was once the same way. Peace

This is interesting because I remember working through the same questions at that age and came to similar conclusions but after getting older I realized even the answer that something always existed doesn’t necessitate god because we could just have a cyclical universe that could have existed forever. This is just one of those questions where no answer wether it be theology or science will satisfy we’re left with a variety of options none of which work as a satisfying answer, they all seem intuitively absurd. 1. Something came from nothing. - but how can nothing become something? 2. Something always existed. - but how can something exist without a cause? 3. Something was always caused by something else. - but there had to be a first cause so what is that and how? (Return to 1&2) 4. Everything is part of a cycle - but why would the cycle exist? 5. Nothing actually can exist and so nothing actually does. - but this seems contrary to our own experience of existing And so the most honest answer to this question is option 6 6. We don’t know enough information to answer this question yet but hopefully one day we will. I myself have been trying hard to answer this, and the most plausible explanation I can think of that even begins to touch on it is something of a division by 0 error in our universe paired with a natural evolution of everything that followed, if you want to include god somewhere its better to assume god too evolved from a simple state to one of complexity rather than assuming something emerging from seeming nothingness would be automatically complex. Perhaps a better way to put this is if something as complex as our universe requires a designer and creator then wouldn’t the mind that is able to comprehend and design that universe need to be even more complex to be able to process that information? And wouldn’t the constitution of such a being require a greater complexity as well to be able to actually implement those details and rules all the way from the smallest subatomic structure to the largest galaxy clusters? And if complexity is what we are using to determine if something must have been designed / created or not then by that criteria such a being would necessitate a creator/designer as well which would lead to an infinite regress. Its therefore a better argument to assume an evolved god but then again you could just cut out god entirely and just ponder an evolved universe and everything would function relatively the same

Question everything and look for evidence and good reasons to believe. There are things that we cannot know and various degrees of certainty with which we hold a belief based on the available evidence. @@EatHoneyBeeHappy Actually this shows that you misunderstand the cosmological argument, I wouldn't have been so confident without reading the literature on it. The reason why the universe cannot be eternal is not because of special pleading but because it is argued both philosophically and scientifically. Which means that the beginning of the universe must have a cause unless you are going to defend the extreme view that the universe came into existence without a cause from nothing. The cause must be timeless, non-spatial and immaterial because it created these things. Furthermore, it must be personal because the only two entities that fit the above description are abstract objects and the immaterial mind, but since abstract objects cannot create anything it must be the immaterial mind.

Yes, interesting article. Which points out that humans have a tendency to over attribute agency and intentions which experimentally can be shown to be groundless. Humans more often tend to believe a phenomenon is intentional even when it is not. Others such as Michael Shermer theorize that humans like all animals had to adapt to a hostile environment in which other animals were trying to eat them. Developing a greater tendency to attribute intentions to say, a rustle in the grass has an unequal distribution of consequences. Consider if the animal ignores the rustle in the grass and it's just the wind, it's fine, if the animal ignores it and it is a lion the animal is likely dead. Compare- the animal hears the rustle and decides to walk away, assuming it's a potential threat. If the reality is a lion was hiding the animal has made a very good decision. If it was only the wind the animal is slightly inconvenienced by the more circuitous route. because of these unequal distributions of consequences ancestral animals that were more likely to make this attribution error produced more offspring. Bloom also points out evolutionary and consequent neurological development of the brain to handle material things and social things with different parts of the brain. This neurophysical reality biases us to think of ourselves in others in a dualistic way. it is a great article if you were interested in arguing that religion was the byproduct of the effects of evolution on the mind.
@72daystar
7 жыл бұрын
Our brain is unreliable in empirically demonstrated ways. This is not a one off effect from some PhD student. Agenticity's a robust well documented way in which our intuitions malfunction, and it is just one of many. But in the context of evolutionary forces the "bug" is a "feature"- i.e. is provides us with a survival benefit, because we live in a world where animals like us, do get hunted and killed. There is no reason to suppose it is fine tuning of an intelligent agent when 1, we have no evidence of a fine tuner, and more importantly 2, the tuning is within the scope of what evolution can accomplish and 3, evidently has. We're talking about to what extent religious thinking is accounted for by our make up, right? Fine-tuning of the universe is another issue, which I would be happy to talk about, but, you know, one thing at a time. Josh added, "With a mind at the foundation of laws and matter, even a rustle could have an intention behind it, could it not?" If you are willing to grant any power and any means to avoid detection -your hypothetical agent can always be proposed as somehow explanatory at some hitherto unexplored level of any phenomenon not comprehensively understood, which is pretty much EVERYTHING. So, to say, a mind could still be involved - is trivially true and of equal value to claims of ghosts being explanatory of a strange chill, and faeries being explanatory of a strange sound. It is in my thinking a perfect analogy. The only difference between creator gods and ghosts and fairies is the scope of the effect. It is merely a difference of quantity not quality. The implications of the study you provided are that given a world - irrespective of the reality of any sort of god or supernatural agent, humans would come to believe such agents existed as a byproduct of a brain adapted for survival in a hostile (as well as social in the case of humans) world, and given a few thousand years, probably come up with some pretty sophisticated argument to that end. And in contravention of the beneficent all knowing deity hypothesis - it seems unlikely that our mental biases like those of other animals would be adapted to avoid getting ripped apart and eaten.
