As a Brazilian, I'd like to make a few observations: The same amount of açaí here would cost around $4. I noticed the bowl you bought doesn't seem like pure açaí; it looks more like ice cream or has too much syrup. I actually come from the state that cultivates 95% of the açaí. It's a cultural dish for us, traditionally eaten with cassava flour and Amazonian fish. The bowl with granola and fruits is more common in other states (I enjoy that too, though). Mentioning blueberries made me wonder if this is authentic açaí. Foreigners sometimes find northern Brazilian cuisine unfamiliar because it's quite different. So, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a americanized version.

Açaí is a Brazilian berry most consumed in the northern region, the Amazon forest region, but in there açaí is a bit different, less "creamy" and more "soupy" and they eat it as an accompaniment (Eat with fried or cooked fish and cassava most commonly). It got popular across the whole country when they started selling it as an alternative fitness icecream-like food that you can add berries and cereals and whatever you want (But people just add icecream, nutella, heavy milk, so they just f*ck# d it up lol). It is indeed VERY healthy and you should eat it everyday if possible. But people usually mix it with syrup to make it at least have a taste, since açaí is tasteless (People say it has earthly taste), so it makes it less healthy then it should be. Awkwardly once you start eating it you just can't stop and want to try different combinations, and even if it initially tastes like earth, it got better as you eat it. Maybe just like beer or coffee.

Could also have to do with the percentage of acai. However outside brasil it is really hard to get higher percentages.

The rest of their bowls look to be ~$18. If those are also 24oz that’s better prices than their competitor! The bowl he got is just literally called the Billion Dollar Bowl

This enraged me a little. The fact that people can get away with charging that much does not make me happy about American society.
