I'll never complain about my job again...can you imagine the heat and dust down there in the summer?

what about all the asbestos dust from when the brake pads contained asbestos? I wonder what became of these under ground late night track workers...?

Those track re-layers were not at the the Angel, or even on the Northern Line. They were in a double track tunnel, somewhere on the District, Circle or Met!

Yep, spotted that as well. Clearly a double track tunnel.

It's bewildering to me how all of those people hate their jobs and still stick with it. And I am not judging them, in fact I admire them, because I don't know if I could live like that. Now, I had jobs that I didn't like (working on a cemetery) but I always knew it was temporary and I don't know how these people can/could work these dead end jobs with no way out!

peteblueeyes *I think it's called work ethics, refusing to go on benefits. The majority of us who were born in the fifties, sixties and early seventies were raised with the attitude from our parents that it was very shameful to have to go and apply for benefits, food stamps etc. I know, I worked my a$$ off in a job I hated for 10 years before my career/business took off.*

A Job is a job and these were all working class people who would have had less opportunities than now. Even today most people don't have the luxury of actually enjoying their job.
