I'm surprised how much their 3D printed saddle is really. I normally pay much less than that for my favoured Fizik or Selle Italia saddles, usually obtained in sales! For my Vanyar build though I'm going to try a Prime Primavera carbon saddle which cost about £60 in the Black Friday sales and weighs in at about 150g. In my opinion, these 3D printed saddles are a bio-hazard waiting to happen, especially here in the UK! The combination of sweat and road dirt getting stuck in all the little nooks and crannies doesn't bear thinking about😅. Maybe they have to be jet washed after each ride? Seems to me to be a solution for a problem that didn't exist!

I had the Elves 3D Printed Saddle thrown in with my Falath Evo, for me it was very comfortable. Unfortunately after 4months of riding, about 3,000km the nose of the saddle has delaminated from the rails and is no longer useable, at least I didn't pay for it. Hope you have a better experience with the saddle, perhaps I got an early prototype and yours will fare better. Looks like a fun bike build tho.

for those of us that cannot face it to do all the work themselves , you have to add the cost of a mechanic to build it up. Having had two similar bikes built for me that cost is about 250 pounds

Great video👌. But what’s up with this opposite side brake setup in England? Left for rear brake, right for front? This is different than road design. Internationally %90 of people are right hand dominant and stronger dominant side ( right ) should be used for rear brake to avoid hard braking on front and flip over. So what is the reason for this odd set up?
@jastetky
10 ай бұрын
you do realise all motorcycles have the front brake connected to the right lever.
@Questioneverything72
10 ай бұрын
@@jastetky good point. But 1) on Motorcycles it is conventionally designed that way and industry kept it because it is hard to change a habit internationally and production lines. it doesn’t mean it is safer or best practice because motorbike also can flip over. Just harder because 2) weight distribution of engine in many motorbikes are more in front and much lower resulting in more stability and traction on front especially when braking. Cruise motorbike weight in center but front wheel is more forward.( geometry stability). Vs bicycle most weight ( rider) is distributed on the back and higher, a lock up on descending much easier to flip over handlbar. 3) heavy engine makes it harder for motorbike to flip over…
