More like running the 1456 against a 4520-4620 which the 1456 would still pull away from...

I laugh at that!!! We have a 1206 and a 1456, in real hard tough ground our 5010 JD would out work and plow both IH's. Don't know why IH didn't produce heavier front ends like the JD5010, 20 and 6030's?? But they didn't and that 5010 would just grunt away. The 1456 was even rated at 25hp more than the 5010, but wouldn't out work her in heavy ground, sorry but seen it first hand and just being honest!!!!lol

It seems like you guys are ploughing a bit too fast. Is that normal ploughing speed in your soil?
@SMiller5488
10 жыл бұрын
I think the video camera makes the tractors look like they are going faster then they really are, 5-5.5-6mph would be top speed for plowing.

@mseetherh same number of bottoms as the 4320, the 4320 has no chance. it'd be like running the 1456 against a turned up 4850.

Around your area eh???? So u don't own a 5010 or 20????? To heavy for their power, really?????????????? Our 5010 still runs great and has a shit load of hrs on it, I'm not choosing IH over John Deere bc we have both brands of equipment, just stating the facts of what older tractors we had and which one was better and sorry for all you die hard IH people our 5010 was the better machine. All of them r stock from factory as well, no modifications.

Yep, have witnessed a 190XT pulling a 6 bottom at a pretty good speed. My old D17 will pull a 4 bottom in hard pulling blue clay at 9 inches. Have it on video somewhere. I should post it on youtube.

Hey I love it! My late fathers newly rebuilt 4020 John Deere will be pulling at the Augusta County Fair in Fishersville,Va. at Expoland Tonight at 7:00 P.M. we dont know what the tractor will do or if it will even win anything! But the factory Hp rating is 97 hp.and it is putting out 125 hp. Thanks for sharing this video! Great shot!!!!

that 4020 should be able to pull more than 4 bottoms, on my farm we pull 18 inch 5 bottoms with a 4wd 2955 no problem with no weights or ballast

Around my area the 5010/5020/6030 were known as dogs. Even by Deere people. Too heavy for their power. Not really a good tractor unless they are turboed and turned way up. Even the 6030 which most were turboed was too heavy. My neighbor blew up one of his 5020's and tore the front end off the other. They were both turboed. True IH had a joke of a front end but the engines were pretty solid. Rear ends not so solid.

Why do green tractors pull red plows?
@davidsonlankford1168

cause the red tractors can’t pull them.

Im telling you right now, letting a rider on that fender (i dont care if he is a adult) is total asinine. Death can happen in an iinstant , no way in hell you can stop fast enough. Saying that. beautiful tractors . Cut my teeth on the 4020

fly wayne most farmers had kids and before buddies seats the only place to teach them to run the tractor was for them to sit in the fender I sit on the fender all the time hauling in wagons to the elevator that's how I learn to drive
