You mean I'm not the only one that the 'New' Bronco reminded me of the International 800.

Nope, you are not! The new Bronco owners get a tad pissy about it. But if IH still had the light line, the newer Scout would look a lot like the new Bronco. But would again be more capable off road, and look nicer.

In 1971 I was a JR in high school I bought my first vehicle it was a 1966 scout with the 4 cld comanche with a 3 speed it wasn't the fastest but it would go anywhere in the mountains of western Pa. In 1974 I bought a new scout II it was ok alittle bigger with the 258 and a 3 speed . But I wish I had kept the 66. Then as the years went by I wanted another 800 but now I am retired so that is not going to happen. But I can watch your KZitem and see them.

I wish I never would have sold my '67 Scout 800 266 V8 I had back in high school in the mid 80's. I've been kicking myself ever since over that mistake. They are worth a mint now.

I didn't know about the International Harvester! I've seen Bronco's and K5's on the TV. It wasn't until KZitem that I saw my first International Harvester . I like all of them and couldn't say which one was first.

Man this looks like one that an old farmer owned along Deer Horn Road east of Springfield back in the early 70's. It was the envy of the neighbor hood with that thrifty V8 (almost as good as mileage as the 4banger), winch, and limited slip rear end. It was king of the logging roads during hunting season!

A friend and his dad trapped out of one just like this. Same color. Guy still has it. Now I gotta go look at it and notice the details. Another buddy has a pickup top one. Those goofy slant 4 bangers are surprisingly peppy in a Scout!

My brother-in law had a 68 pickup top scout when I was a kid. that thing went anywhere. I would love an old 60's scout or 4x4 travelall. You are right. the bronco copied the scout as scouts were made before broncos.

I haven't seen one of those in years! I almost bought one in the middle 90s but we never could get to an agreeable price. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. Always been an IH guy, still have 6-- 80s & 800s. Watching this channel is going to encourage me to bring a couple back into service as daily drivers. Thanks Ben.

Two wheel drive was the least common Sportop, though four-cylinders were most common. Ask me how I know. The Sportop Convertibles are the most rare. The interior will be the most challenging to restore.

I really like to leave positive comments about videos, but I don't understand why you never show the engine. What vehicle enthusiast doesn't want to see what makes the whole thing go?

I won't hate you I can't stand ford anyways and if you used the blazer as a comparison I would take it as a compliment.
