Hey dude about the spot at 2:25 you mentioned you'd like to see some raises, maybe not with K4 exactly but certainly some top pairs. It may seem nooby, but I was wondering if you could shed light as to whether you're ever block betting there and then re-raising if you get raised? I only ask because if I'm villain on the river, id be worried about raising myself, and then having to fold to a 3bet jam or something. I know I can be pretty confident that if (as villain) we raise and get 3bet our pair of kings is likely no good, but I'd hate to fold to a bluff there when I could just call river. Is it just a case of you get called by 9x or TT-QQ enough there that the small percent that you get 3bet is worth it? I'm just a bit confused on the spot and hopefully you can let me know a bit more of your thoughts on it.

It's been 2 years but I'll light it up for you, well when Jarret blocks his range is almost always a merged range which means he has mostly medium strenght hands and by doing that IP should raise with any Kx(in theory world) because he's capped and he can't just block fold to any raise because if he did that IP would raise all his bluffs and Jarret would be exploited which means that when Jarret blocks river he has to have some traps in his range which are gonna be hands like sets, straights and two pair hands in low frenquecy so he can block/call, block/raise and block/raise-call a shove, in practice some things are not really happening. First one, Jarret is probabibly more capped than theory because he should have 5.03 combos of semi nuts or nuts blocking river which is not gonna happen in real world games because humans can't really measure it in-game so he's actually less nutted than solver is and if that's true it means that villain can raise even thinner for value including 9x pairs with good kicker pure, second thing is that Jarret might probably due to the capped factor be overfolding to the raise and under 3-betting which means that villain should not go crazy on thin value bets because the value of the thin value bets decreases since Jarret is not calling the right range(which means he's overfolding and it implies that when he calls he's stronger since a stronger range is calling us the equity when we get called is lower than what we need to value bet thin(not sure how much bc it would require a lot of math to be sure)) and therefore the EV of raise thinner value goes down. In the very end if these assumptions are corret and for sure are(no human being can be protected and can be bluffing like the solver) the guy should raise all his Kx hands and some stronger 9x pure and also raise with more bluffs and by doing that overbluffing and thin value betting more. Hope it helps you!

Late answer, but he’s probably too high up in his range. The buttons calling range against the overbet on the turn is alot of flush draws, broadway draws or Ax / Tx. So it probably works better as a bluff catcher than a bluff itself
