From Plaza, a small farming town in Washington, Gerry ’65 is thankful for his education and experiences at WSU, as well as the scholarships he received
allowing him to pursue a degree in pharmacy. Understanding the importance of making educational opportunities possible through scholarships for those
without financial means, Gerry established the Gerald A. Danquist Endowed Scholarship in Pharmacy to assist WSU students. Gerry spent two years in the U.S. Public Health Service as a pharmacy officer. From there he earned an MBA at Harvard then took a position at Eli Lilly, where he worked for 33 years in the U.S. and internationally in a variety of roles-from running marketing campaigns to serving as a scientific conference advisor. Honored in 2015 as a College of Pharmacy Alumnus of the Year, Gerry has given to
WSU for 25 years.
