Wouldn't that suspension setup be the exact opposite of having a sway bar?
@BrunoPOWEEER
4 жыл бұрын
Lots of race cars use that type of suspension design now to minimise size and weight, looks weird but also very clever, some with 1 and others with 2 shocks. Works better with downforce as far as I know...
@user-ys4op3ux1p
4 жыл бұрын
@@BrunoPOWEEER That all makes sense, but with that setup it seems like going around a corner would cause the opposite side to raise up. A sway bar is supposed to prevent this by making the whole car squat down when force is applied to one side of the suspension. In your video I don't see a sway bar and there's a pivot in the middle, but the car isn't done so it's possible they haven't installed the sway / torsion bar or whatever solution they came up with.

Goes just as fast but makes it nice and usable. You using the recumbent much then? I'm always hesitent on taking any of my big bikes out just because of the legality of them. BTW hope everything's OK your way with those regards to the Bush fires. And make sure you stay safe!

Dave Webster yeaahh throttle delay makes things a lot safer, we had to do the same on this bike kzitem.info/news/bejne/pnpqnGaPgHWHhpw we had too much POWEEEEEEEERRR on a lightweight bicycle was just unusable... it’s weird at the beginning but safer. Nah I rarely use my trike to be honest, it’s asking to get in big trouble, I only ride in quiet roads near my house, I wish I could take it anywhere... so much work and so much money that is just sitting here, kinda sad... my next projects will have to be something road legal so I can take anywhere I want. At the same time I have lots of weird ideas like making a fast bathtub on wheels, amphibious EV... very small hovercraft... these are certainly not road legal haha Bushfires are pretty bad... started badly in September and it’s far from slowing down, they predict that it’s only going to stop in March/April... basically it’s just half way through. I’m locked inside my house most of the time, air-conditioning pumping most of the day (last Saturday was 48.9 degrees celsius or 120.02 degrees fahrenheit) Sydney was by far the hottest place on earth! The whole bushfire + heatwave + smoke (days turning dark red) its hard to believe it’s real.

I'm laughing so hard ! They're so way out it can only be in Australia. It's a fun and wildly dangerous project. Great ! So don't ruin your credibility by saying things like "it's all about safety" LOL and that pouring water on a potentially broken(like cracked open by expansion from a runaway) lithium battery array will STOP a fire ! If anything that's how you start a fire. I also cannot believe it won't get too hot if you're pulling more than 1000 amps continously, in an enclosed cabinet. I mean how hot are they supposed to run, and how long (or short) time - is it just a dragstrip your racing ? Besides that fresh water does NOT - contrary to ordinary belief - short circuit anything but maybe some sensitive electronics. It's a very poor conductor. Man you have to get some knowledge or ask someone before bluring out your wrong ideas and even incorporating them into your designs. Just saying it as it is. Love the car though - with a better chassis it wouldn't look completely ridicolous, too. Try to learn from Deronda f.ex. that's a beautiful and functional design that should have been electrified. I'm waiting for someone to put your drivetrain in it.

This is high discharge LiPo.... LiPo can handle a LOT more power than regular Li-ion batteries so you need a much smaller pack to handle a massive current. In my 42kW trike kzitem.info/news/bejne/1Ih-xZemfKl_d6g I had two very small Lipo packs that could handle ridiculous current for a few minutes of fun and it only 4kg, if I used Li-ion 18650 cells I would’ve need to make a MASSIVE pack that is about 20kg or more just to handle the same current.
